Well, looks like Reddit pulled the plug a little early. Apollo started crashing, but I just manually revoked my token and it looks like it fixes the crashing, but no more Reddit access haha. Those folks are fun to the very end! 😛

Yes, great, this is exactly what I want; Youtube threatening to ban likely a significant portion of my audience. If this goes through I'll try to speed up the process of getting my videos on another platform also: androidauthority.com/youtube…

Valve aren't just removing games with AI art on Steam. They're also removing games with AI text too. The premise being 'you don't own the copyright to that content', which is objectively true.
PSA: Valve has been quietly banning newly submitted Steam games using AI-created art assets - if submitters can't prove they have rights for the assets used to train the algorithms: reddit.com/r/aigamedev/comme…

The Airbnb collapse is real. Revenues are down nearly 50% in cities like Phoenix and Austin. Watch out for a wave of forced selling from Airbnb owners later this year in the areas hit hardest by the revenue collapse.

Twitch out here really be like... How do we take away more money with the new dono system and not only that, make everyone's moral SUPER low by taking away viewership because of the new content warnings disconnecting people so that they will "work harder" ☺️👉👈 oops teehee~❤️
Neat, I switched games and this immediately popped up and chopped my viewership in 1/3rd. It's not a popup, it's a straight up disconnect. Amazing forethought once again from twitch

I spoke with an LLM ethicist at an AI/ML non-profit at #FAccT this week, and was informed that there isn't a single LLM (think ChatGPT) that doesn't have copyrighted material in it, and that it's basically essential for them to have any kind of quality whatsoever.

after some criticism of his moves running Twitch over the years and the platform's current trajectory compared to other popular places online, Emmett Shear wanted to engage in the marketplace of ideas. happy to report that lasted about five minutes

Humans have already invented all of these styles. Just goes to show you that ML/AI models can't do anything that humans haven't already done. They are nothing but theft machines that will kill any real innovation and creativity in the arts if they take over the industry.

We've had some major players reach-out about joining OpenPleb. Nothing formal to share yet (@tekwendell and I are still working on behind-the-scenes 'boring' stuff to establish), but the level of interest from manufacturers has been awesome. As soon as there's more, will make vid

imagine being so ballsy to lie about using AI for an art competition. winning. fabricating evidence that you didn't use AI when under scrutiny. then releasing a PSD as ultimate proof where you are undone because you forgot to rename the layer that matches the midjourney prompt

That's why we can not trust any of these companies to self regulate, they want people to suffer first.
"We shouldn't regulate #AI until we see some meaningful harm that is actually happening [...] There has to be at least a little bit of harm, so that we see what is the real problem" -- Microsoft Chief Economist to #WEF #GrowthSummit23

Heck, even the CEO of Open AI gets to privately wine and dine lawmakers to “educate them” on “AI safety”, but no, the real problem is the creative community advocating for themselves amidst one of the biggest art data thefts to ever happen 🫠 nbcnews.com/politics/congres…
