BREAKING: An Aer Lingus jet bound for Rome from Dublin put down at the Évreux-Fauville air base in Normandy on 5th November after a bomb threat, with 151 passengers and 6 crew taken to safety, per the office of French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu.
It was one of at least 14 airliners hit by threats that day, per NBC News. Italian news agency ANSA counts at least 18.
2 Italian Air Force Eurofighters from the 4th Wing at Grosseto escorted a Finnair flight from Helsinki into Rome Fiumicino, per the service. Police bomb technicians found nothing on board, per the airline.
A Ryanair flight from London Stansted to Sofia was sent to Plovdiv, per Bulgaria's transport ministry.
A Wizz Air flight from Milan to Warsaw ended up in Vienna, per ANSA.
Polish airline LOT flights out of Warsaw were hit too.
So were Ryanair flights from Copenhagen and Madrid.
The Rome threats arrived in a single anonymous email written in Italian, per ANSA.
The sender signed off as 'Fighters of the Male State', per the BBC. Italian prosecutors are being briefed while investigators trace the servers.
This was the second wave in 3 days. On 3rd November, 7 planes were searched or diverted, per The Guardian.
No search reported so far has found explosives.
No government has named a culprit, and European Union transport commissioner Apostolos Tzitzikostas says it is too early to say whether the cases are linked.

One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up.
So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us."
Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026.
There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true.
But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone.
Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:
1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel
Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.)
In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you.
The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night.
If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest.
But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there.
I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

🚨 BREAKING: Hackers are hitting the world's money system in 7 places at the same time.
This is what Covid looked like in week 1. A few banks. A few apps. Nobody called it a crisis.
1/ France: more than €118 million (about $133 million) was pulled out of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa over several days and turned into crypto. Today its app was down and EVERY transfer was blocked. The bank says customers lose nothing.
2/ Belgium: on October 28, the federal finance ministry said a cyberattack hit it. The online tax portal was SHUT and tax deadlines will be pushed back.
3/ Eurozone: on October 22, the European Central Bank, the bank behind the euro, confirmed that attackers planted malware on one of its websites.
4/ South Korea: at least 9 banks targeted since late September by an attacker using an AI hacking agent. At Shinhan Bank alone, about 25,000 customers had their names, phone numbers, incomes and loan limits exposed.
5/ Japan: hackers broke into GMO Internet and demanded $50 million in crypto. The prime minister promised an emergency anti-cyberattack package.
6/ At least 14 countries: China-linked hackers used AI agents to attack 200+ organisations in just 11 days. Finance was on the target list.
7/ Crypto: more than $6 billion drained from Binance hot wallets on 11 blockchains on October 29, most of it in about 30 minutes. The FBI says North Korea did it.
Now zoom out.
Hackers now send AI agents to do the work. The French money left over several days before the bank confirmed anything. Fake IDs passed the crypto exchanges' checks. About $63 million in stablecoins became 27,553 Ether in 4 hours. Part of it vanished into Monero, a coin built to hide who sends and who receives.
Covid locked the streets. This time the lock is on the bank app, and €118 million is already gone. Nobody is calling this a crisis yet. But central bankers already plan for the day the hackers get in.
The G7 agreed to run drills that simulate AI attacks on banks. The ECB gave eurozone banks until October 31 to hand in AI cyber defence plans. And last month the IMF chief warned we may end up with "lots of people with shoeboxes under their beds."

Ustawa o TK jest jasna i nie pozostawia wątpliwości: Jeśli prezes TK Bogdan Święczkowski żyje i nie rezygnuje to jest prezesem TK do 9 grudnia 2030 roku.
Rząd nie przejął Trybunału Konstytucyjnego, a jedynie tymczasową kontrolę nad budynkiem i zasobami TK, do którego nie wpuszcza sędziów TK (wśród nich prezesa i wiceprezesa).
Jeśli rząd nie ustąpi z trwającego obecnie zamachu na konstytucyjny organ państwa (przestępstwo z art. 128 Kodeksu karnego) to usunięcie Policji i uzurpatorów z siedziby TK nastąpi najpóźniej po wyborach w 2027 roku.

Jacek Łukasik, przewodniczący związku "Policyjna Solidarność", będzie mieć postępowanie dyscyplinarne – donoszą media. Chodzi o jego wypowiedzi związane z działaniami policji przed Trybunałem Konstytucyjnym. Policjant w trybie pilnym został wezwany do Komendy Wojewódzkiej Policji w Krakowie.
