Tom Skerritt is gone at 93. Most people knew him as Viper in Top Gun. I knew him as one of ours. Four years in the United States Air Force before Hollywood ever called. He made Seattle home, and he gave back. He co-founded TheFilmSchool there, and he started the Red Badge Project to help veterans work through PTSD by writing their stories. Plenty of stars talk about supporting the troops. He actually did it. Blue skies, Viper. Rest easy.
