Marcel Schmelzer on a bizarre moment involving José Mourinho: "While I was getting ready to take a throw-in, I was surprised to see Mourinho next to me, seriously talking to me as if he were giving me instructions. He came over and said, 'Go to Mesut Özil and tell him he needs to move forward into the middle faster.' I looked at him in disbelief and didn't reply. But later, when I got back on the pitch and reached Özil, I passed on what Mourinho had told me. What surprised me was that Özil nodded towards his coach as if he'd received the instructions normally. And the funniest thing was that Dortmund were winning 2-1 at the time, and Özil later managed to equalise." Only Mourinho would use an opposition player to deliver tactical instructions to his own team. 😭
