TVL tells you where money is parked. Active addresses tell you where people actually show up. On that count, TRON leads the pack ๐Ÿ‘‡ DefiLlama's chain rankings list the top 10 chains by DeFi TVL. Look at the 24h active addresses column: โžœ ๐—ง๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ป: ๐Ÿฏ.๐Ÿณ๐Ÿฏ๐—บ โžœ Solana: 3m โžœ BSC: 2.4m โžœ Bitcoin: 632,369 โžœ Ethereum: 464,007 โžœ Base: 373,491 โžœ Arbitrum: 152,097 That puts TRON first among the top 10 by daily active addresses, even though it ranks #๐Ÿฑ ๐—ฏ๐˜† ๐——๐—ฒ๐—™๐—ถ ๐—ง๐—ฉ๐—Ÿ at $๐Ÿฑ.๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฏ๐—ฏ, per DefiLlama. Why the gap? Most of TRON's activity isn't yield farming. It's people sending and receiving dollars. The same table shows TRON with a $๐Ÿต๐Ÿฐ.๐Ÿด๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿด๐—ฏ stablecoin market cap and $๐Ÿด๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿต,๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฌ in 24h chain fees, the highest fees in the top 10. A fair caveat: an active address isn't the same as a unique person, and one person can run several wallets. It's still the cleanest public signal of everyday usage across chains. So when someone asks "who actually uses @trondao's network?", this is the answer: millions of addresses, every single day. Check the live chain rankings yourself here ๐Ÿ‘‡ defillama.com/chains Usage you can verify beats hype you can't. @justinsuntron @trondao #TronEcoStar #TRON

Node operators, heads up: java-tron just shipped another mandatory upgrade. ๐Ÿฐ, codename Empedocles ๐Ÿ‘‡ The release went live on GitHub on October 22, and the notice is short and clear: ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐˜‚๐—ฝ๐—ด๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ. What changed, per the official release notes: โžœ Improved execution consistency and stability for operations in rare cases โžœ Optimized smart contract storage and metadata handling in edge cases No flashy features. Just hardening. That's exactly what you want from the client software behind a network that moves trillions in stablecoins every quarter. Who needs to act: โžœ Super Representatives and anyone running a FullNode should upgrade โžœ Builds are published for both x86_64 and aarch64 (ARM) โžœ Every JAR is GPG-signed, so verify the signature before you deploy The cadence is worth noticing too. Empedocles is the fourth mandatory java-tron release since mid-July: โžœ v4.8.2 ๐—ฃ๐˜†๐—ฟ๐—ฟ๐—ต๐—ผ: Ethereum Osaka/Pectra-aligned features, including a P-256 precompile โžœ v4.8.2.2 ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐˜€: Stake 2.0 and contract deployment refinements โžœ v4.8.2.3 ๐—”๐—ป๐—ฎ๐˜…๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜€: storage access and BN128 pairing optimizations โžœ v4.8.2.4 ๐—˜๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜€: the hardening release above Steady, incremental upgrades like these are a big part of why @trondao's network can run without a maintenance window. Just received your first USDT on TRON and have zero TRX for fees? You can still send it. Here's the simple mental model behind GasFree ๐Ÿ‘‡ Normally, a USDT transfer on @trondao's network consumes Energy and Bandwidth, paid in TRX. GasFree flips who pays. Think of it as a courier who covers the postage and takes a small fee from the parcel. The four roles, per the official GasFree spec: โžœ ๐—ฌ๐—ผ๐˜‚: your normal wallet, which stays in control โžœ ๐—š๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—™๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ป๐˜: a linked address generated from yours, holding the USDT you send โžœ ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ-๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ: submits the transfer on-chain and pays the gas โžœ ๐—ช๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜: the app that shows your balance and asks you to sign What happens when you hit send: โžœ You sign a transfer authorization off-chain (signing itself costs nothing) โžœ You set a max fee, a deadline and the receiver โžœ The provider checks it and returns a trace ID โžœ It lands on-chain and the fee is taken in ๐—จ๐—ฆ๐——๐—ง, not TRX Two fees to know: โžœ A one-time ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ on your first GasFree transfer โžœ A flat ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜€๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ each time after that Fees are set by the service and can change, so always check the amount your wallet shows before signing. When does it make sense? Occasional senders and brand-new users who hold only USDT. Heavy users usually save more by staking TRX for Energy. How does Bitcoin end up working inside TRON DeFi? Through a part of the JUST ecosystem most people never notice: JustCrypto ๐Ÿ‘‡ ๐—๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜๐—–๐—ฟ๐˜†๐—ฝ๐˜๐—ผ is the JUST ecosystem's cross-chain token layer. It brings major assets from other chains onto TRON as tokens that JustLend and other JUST apps recognize. Assets currently listed on the official page: โžœ BTC โžœ ETH โžœ LTC โžœ DOGE โžœ NFT The size surprises people. Per DefiLlama today: โžœ $๐Ÿฎ.๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿญ๐—• in TVL, all of it on TRON โžœ #๐Ÿณ among all bridge protocols by TVL โžœ Peak of $๐Ÿด.๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿณ๐—• back in March 2024 How it works, honestly. This isn't a trustless bridge where a smart contract locks coins on one chain and mints on another. Per the JUST site, the cross-chain mechanism is provided by platforms such as Poloniex. So the trust model leans on the custodian. That's the trade-off for getting deep BTC and ETH liquidity onto TRON. The transparency piece is on-chain, though: โžœ The BTC token contract address is public on TRONSCAN โžœ The page explains the math: Bitcoin on TRON equals total supply minus the Bitcoin Treasury โžœ A smart contract security audit report for the BTC token is published Why it matters for @trondao? Lending markets need good collateral. Wrapped BTC and ETH give TRON users more to borrow against and trade beyond TRX and stablecoins. Not financial advice. Know who holds the underlying before you use any wrapped asset. See JustCrypto's assets, contract and audit here ๐Ÿ‘‡ justnetwork.io/token @justinsuntron @trondao #TronEcoStar #TRON

You just created a fresh TRON wallet, but Tronscan can't find it and your Bandwidth shows zero. Nothing is broken. It just isn't activated yet ๐Ÿ‘‡ Here's how activation works, straight from the official @trondao developer docs. An address exists the moment your wallet generates its key pair. But the network only recognizes it after activation. Until then, explorers and APIs can't look it up. How to activate a new address: โžœ Send it any amount of ๐—ง๐—ฅ๐—ซ (or a TRC-10 token) from an account that's already active โžœ Or have an existing account call ๐˜„๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜/๐—ฐ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ป๐˜ for it Who pays? The ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ, not the new address. The account creation fee is currently ๐Ÿญ ๐—ง๐—ฅ๐—ซ on Mainnet. On top of that, the creation transaction needs Bandwidth. If the sender's staked or delegated Bandwidth can't cover it, a fixed ๐Ÿฌ.๐Ÿญ ๐—ง๐—ฅ๐—ซ is burned instead. One detail people miss: the 600 free daily Bandwidth can't be used to pay for account creation. There's also a second path. When a smart contract sends TRX or a TRC-10 token to an unactivated address, the recipient is activated automatically, and the 1 TRX creation fee doesn't apply. What you get once it's live: โžœ The address becomes visible on Tronscan โžœ A free Bandwidth quota of ๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ, which Tronscan's help center says recovers gradually over 24 hours โžœ A normal account that can stake, vote and hold tokens Practical tip: if you're onboarding a friend, send a small amount of TRX to their new address first. That one transfer activates it and gives them something to work with. TRC-10, TRC-20, TRC-721, TRC-1155. Four token standards on TRON, and mixing them up is how people get confused about fees and wallets. Here's the cheat sheet ๐Ÿ‘‡ First, TRX isn't on this list. The official @trondao developer docs are clear: TRX is the native token of the network, not a token standard. It pays for fees and staking. Now the four standards: ๐—ง๐—ฅ๐—–-๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฌ: ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—น-๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—น ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ธ๐—ฒ๐—ป โžœ Built into the TRON protocol itself, no TRON Virtual Machine needed โžœ Each account can issue only one, for a current Mainnet fee of ๐Ÿญ,๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฐ ๐—ง๐—ฅ๐—ซ โžœ Kept for existing tokens. The docs recommend TRC-20 for anything new ๐—ง๐—ฅ๐—–-๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ: ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ณ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ด๐—ถ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐˜„๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ธ๐—ต๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ฒ โžœ Runs as a smart contract inside the TVM โžœ Matches Ethereum's ERC-20 at the interface level, so most ERC-20 contracts compile and run on TRON without changes โžœ The recommended standard for new fungible tokens. USDT on TRON is a TRC-20 token ๐—ง๐—ฅ๐—–-๐Ÿณ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿญ: ๐—ก๐—™๐—ง๐˜€ โžœ One token, one owner. Defines balance, ownership, transfer and approval functions โžœ Compatible with ERC-721. The main TRON difference is the receiver-hook return value ๐—ง๐—ฅ๐—–-๐Ÿญ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿฑ: ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜† ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ธ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜€, ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜ โžœ Manages fungible, non-fungible and semi-fungible tokens together, with batch transfers โžœ The docs point to in-game items as the classic use case Why this matters day to day: โžœ TRC-20 and NFT transfers run contract code, so they use ๐—˜๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ด๐˜† โžœ TRC-10 skips the TVM entirely โžœ Before you send or approve anything, check which standard and which contract it is TronLink supports TRX, TRC-10, TRC-20 and TRC-721, and the token details page shows the type. Nearly ๐Ÿญ ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐Ÿฎ ๐—ง๐—ฅ๐—ซ in circulation is locked in staking right now. And it barely moves. ๐Ÿ‘‡ From Tronscan's staking and resource data as of Oct 23: โžœ ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฑ.๐Ÿญ๐Ÿณ๐—• ๐—ง๐—ฅ๐—ซ staked โžœ That's ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿณ.๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿฑ% of the ~95.01B TRX in circulation โžœ Worth about $๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฐ.๐Ÿต๐—•, per Tronscan's TRX Staking figure โžœ The 30-day average staking rate is ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿณ.๐Ÿด% โžœ Over the last 15 days it stayed between ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿณ.๐Ÿฑ% ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿณ.๐Ÿต% What is it staked for? This is the part most people don't know: โžœ ~๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿต% (26.63B TRX) is staked for ๐—•๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐˜„๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐˜๐—ต โžœ ~๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿญ% (18.55B TRX) is staked for ๐—˜๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ด๐˜† And how is it staked? โžœ ~๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿฌ% sits in Stake 2.0, the current model โžœ ~๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฌ% is still in legacy Stake 1.0 positions Why this matters: On TRON, staking isn't only about rewards. Staked TRX gives Energy and Bandwidth to cover transactions, plus votes for the Super Representatives who produce blocks. So a flat, high staking rate means a big share of holders treat TRX as long-term infrastructure: fuel for their own transfers and a voice in who secures @trondao's network. A number that holds near 48% day after day is one of the quietest signals of conviction on any chain. Visa now settles stablecoins at a $20B+ yearly pace. But on the spending side, TRON is already the chain to beat ๐Ÿ‘‡ Visa's own numbers this year: โžœ Stablecoin settlement passed a $๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐—• annualized run rate, up more than ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฑ๐˜… year over year โžœ More than ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿฌ stablecoin-linked card programs live on its network โžœ Payment volume on those programs up nearly ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ% year over year โžœ About ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿณ% of stablecoin-linked card volume now comes from business and commercial cards Visa also cited Allium research: stablecoin payments are now the fastest-growing use case, at an estimated $๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿญ๐—• ๐˜๐—ผ $๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿณ๐—• a year. So where does TRON fit? Here's how a stablecoin-linked card works for most people: you hold dollars on-chain, then spend them anywhere the card is accepted. The question is which chain those dollars sit on before you tap. Per CoinDesk Research's Q2 2026 report on @trondao's network: โžœ Crypto payment card volume across chains grew from $๐Ÿฎ.๐Ÿฌ๐—• ๐˜๐—ผ $๐Ÿฎ.๐Ÿฐ๐—• in a quarter โžœ TRON's share of that card volume rose to ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฐ%, the highest of any chain โžœ CoinDesk calls TRON the dominant chain for merchant acceptance and consumer-to-business payments via Visa-linked stablecoin cards To be precise, that 34% is about the user side: which chain card balances are funded and spent from. Per Standard Chartered's Geoffrey Kendrick, as reported by The Block: โžœ Monthly on-chain transfer value averaged just under $๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฌ๐—ง this year, up from $๐Ÿฐ๐—ง in 2025 โžœ Average stablecoin velocity doubled, from about ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฑ๐˜… ๐˜๐—ผ ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฌ๐˜… โžœ USDT is mainly used for dollar savings in emerging markets Fewer new dollars minted. The existing ones working much harder. That's where TRON comes in. Per CoinDesk Research, USDT on @trondao's network hit an all-time high of about $๐Ÿด๐Ÿต๐—• in Q2 2026, roughly ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿณ% of all USDT, with about ๐Ÿต๐Ÿฏ% of TRON stablecoin volume moving peer-to-peer. Fair caveat: Kendrick also flags regulation as the main risk to USDT's emerging-market lead if other countries copy the US GENIUS Act. Forecasts will keep moving. The rails people already use every day are the part you can actually measure.
