#NLProc and #linguistics Twitter: do you have trouble keeping track of all the linguistic annotation apps that are out there? So do I and my colleagues, which is why I made the Map of Applications for Linguistic Annotation (MALA): lgessler.com/mala/

Communities are eager to make the arduous process of language documentation easier, and models from the 20+ years of research in low-resource NLP are poised to help. But many language documentation projects forgo the use of any NLP models. Why? (1/8) aclanthology.org/2022.comput…

Are you an #NLProc person who works with AMR for English semantics? We have a new aligner, LEAMR 🦥, which aligns all parts of the graph and is pretty darn accurate!
The algorithm is based on good old-fashioned probabilistic modeling and EM. Data+code: github.com/ablodge/leamr

Love meaning representations? Curious about UCCA? Check out our tutorial @coling2020, with @AbendOmri, Dotan Dvir, Jakob Prange and @complingy!
Pre-recorded presentations are on the COLING live website. Live Q&A on Sunday, December 12th at 14:30-18:00 CET.
