We were honoured to welcome the Odisha Higher Education Delegation to Gujarat University Startup & Entrepreneurship Council (GUSEC), led by Shri Suryabanshi Suraj, Hon’ble Minister of Higher Education, Sports & Youth Services, and Odia Language, Literature & Culture, Government of Odisha, along with senior government officials, Vice Chancellors, and dignitaries from the Higher Education Department.
The delegation was introduced to Gujarat University’s startup and innovation ecosystem and GUSEC’s initiatives aimed at fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup growth. The visit also included insightful discussions on building a strong university-led innovation ecosystem and enabling aspiring entrepreneurs.

મુખ્યમંત્રીશ્રીએ 21મી સદીને વુમન લેડ ડેવલપમેન્ટનો સુવર્ણ યુગ ગણાવતા જણાવ્યું હતું કે, માનનીય વડાપ્રધાન શ્રી નરેન્દ્રભાઈ મોદીએ આપેલા વિમેન-લેડ ડેવલપમેન્ટના અભિગમને સાકાર કરવા ગુજરાત પ્રતિબદ્ધ છે. તેમણે ઉમેર્યું હતું કે, માનનીય વડાપ્રધાનશ્રીની પ્રેરણાથી શરૂ થયેલ ‘સ્ટાર્ટ-અપ ઇન્ડિયા’ હવે એક રિવોલ્યુશન બનીને યુવાશક્તિ માટે આભને આંબવાના અવસરો પૂરા પાડે છે. અંદાજે 2 લાખથી વધુ કાર્યરત સ્ટાર્ટ-અપ્સમાં 50% જેટલી મહિલાશક્તિની ભાગીદારી સાથે વિમેન-લેડ સ્ટાર્ટ-અપ ફંડિંગમાં ભારત અગ્રિમ હરોળમાં આવી ગયું હોવાનું તેમણે ગૌરવ સાથે જણાવ્યું હતું.
મુખ્યમંત્રીશ્રીએ ગુજરાતની દીકરીઓ-બહેનોની એન્ટરપ્રાઈઝીંગ સ્કિલને ન્યૂ-એઈજ ટેકનોલૉજી સાથે જોડીને તેમને ખીલવાના અવસરો આપવામાં herSTART મહત્વપૂર્ણ ગણાવી રાજ્યમાં સેમિકંડક્ટર સ્ટાર્ટઅપ્સ, ચિપ ડિઝાઈન અને ફેબ્રિકેશન મેનેજમેન્ટ તથા સેમિકંડક્ટર પેકેજિંગ અને ડીપટેક ઇનોવેશન શરૂ કરવામાં herSTART મહિલાઓને મદદરૂપ થાય તેવી અપેક્ષા વ્યક્ત કરી હતી.
મુખ્યમંત્રીશ્રીએ આ વર્ષના બજેટમાં રાજ્ય સરકારે સ્ટુડન્ટ સ્ટાર્ટઅપ એન્ડ ઇનોવેશન પોલિસી 2.0 માટે ₹45 કરોડનું પ્રાવધાન કર્યું હોવાનું જણાવવાની સાથોસાથ ટેકનોલોજીને માત્ર કેરિયર ઓપ્શન નહિ, પરંતુ રાષ્ટ્ર નિર્માણનું મિશન ગણાવતા યુવાશક્તિને ઇમર્જીંગ સેક્ટર્સના સ્ટાર્અપ્સ દ્વારા ગુજરાતને સ્ટાર્ટઅપ હબ સાથોસાથ વિમેન-લેડ ડીપટેક ઇનોવેશન હબ બનાવવાનું પણ પ્રેરક આહવાન કર્યું હતું.
