“Nothing but respect,” Blaise Ballantyne wrote beside the Yellowstone wolf he killed. WMU 313 closed Sept. 25. The photo posted Oct 18. Killed there after closure? Reported? @MontanaFWP must answer. If Yellowstone’s wolves aren’t safe, no wolves are safe: TeamWolf.org/take-action

Christian McCaffrey's grandpa was the fastest man on Earth, and at the 1960 Olympics he was quietly helping the CIA try to flip a Soviet athlete. That's the family tree behind this jersey swap, and the rest of it is even better. His name was Dave Sime. He showed up at Duke on a baseball scholarship as a premed kid, taught himself to sprint by reading every track book in the library, and in 1956 he tied the world record in the 100-yard dash. Sports Illustrated called him the world's fastest human and put him on the cover. At the Rome Olympics he lost the 100 meters in a photo finish and took silver. On that same trip he was working on getting a Soviet long jumper to defect. Pro baseball teams wanted him and the Detroit Lions drafted him, but he went to med school and spent his career in Miami doing more than 10,000 eye surgeries. Then his youngest daughter Lisa went to Stanford to play soccer and fell for a wide receiver named Ed McCaffrey. Ed played 13 years in the NFL and won three Super Bowls, the first one with the 49ers. Ed and Lisa had four boys, and all four played big-time college football. Max played receiver at Duke, the same school where his grandpa set records. Christian was the Heisman runner-up at Stanford. Dylan played QB at Michigan. Luke, the youngest, was a quarterback at Nebraska who transferred to Rice, switched to receiver, and got drafted 100th overall in 2024. Three of them made the NFL. Christian had played with or against every brother except Luke, which is why he said going into Monday that this game would complete the cycle. Luke has one thing on his famous brother too. He ran a 4.47 forty at the 2024 combine, and Christian ran a 4.48 back in 2017. So the fastest McCaffrey brother, by one hundredth of a second, is the kid who spent most of college playing quarterback. The 49ers won 23-17 and Christian punched in two touchdowns. After the whistle Luke was already out of his Commanders jersey while Christian pulled off the one with the captain's C. The man who said no to the Lions ended up grandpa to three NFL players. He died in January 2016, before any of them had played a down.
Very cool for Christian and Luke McCaffrey to swap jerseys at the end of MNF. First game they've ever played in together.

Here are some quotes from Ben Rich, formally CEO of Lockhead Martin Skunkworks, about the tech that's so obviously being hidden from us at this point. 1. “The Air Force has just given us a contract to take ET back home” (source: 1993 WPAFB slide presentation) 2. “We already have the means to travel among the stars, but these technologies are locked up in black projects and it would take an act of GOD to ever get them out to benefit humanity” (source: statement made after UCLA presentation to three Disclosure Project witnesses) 3. “Jim, we have things out in the desert that are fifty (50) years beyond what you could possibly comprehend. If you have seen it on Star Wars or Star Trek, we’ve been there done that, or decided it was not worth the effort” (Source: direct comments by Ben Rich to Jim Goodall via telephone call at the USC medical center approximately one week before Ben passed away on January 5th 1995) 4. “We have some new things. We are not stagnating. What we are doing is updating ourselves, without advertising. There are some new programs, and there are certain things-some of them 20 or 30 years old-that are still break-throughs and appropriate to keep quiet about. Other people don’t have them yet. (source: statement made by Ben Rich to Stuart F. Brown in an interview published in Popular Science October 1994) 5. “I wish I could tell you about the projects we are currently working on. They are both fascinating and fantastic. They call for technologies once only dreamed of by science fiction writers”. (source: AIAA lecture Atlanta, Ga. September 7-9 1988) Credit - blit_blit99 on reddit.

Happy Birthday to our multi-talented Chief Photographer Matt Adams. For 24 years, he's worked with me as we traveled the world, chased big stories, weird mysteries, and assorted bad guys. Somehow Matt always manages to get us out of perilous situations, (which are mostly my fault.) Along the way, he's met a long list of fascinating people including this guy.

Stratton: Trump Considered Telling the American People: We Are Not Alone. When I met Jay and Michele Stratton in Huntsville in late 2022, I was a bit surprised to hear Jay say some nice things about his former boss, Deputy Director of Naval Intelligence, Scott Bray. Earlier that year, Bray had been part of a UAP hearing that made many of us question if he was on the up and up. But after reading 3/4 of "Out of the Shadows," I now know why Jay thought and spoke so highly of Bray. One of Jay's last briefings before COVID was to the House Armed Services Committee's Future of Defense Task Force. Bray went along and decided to tell them about Jay Stratton and UAP: “You have the best and most capable person in the government on this [UAP] problem." ~Scott Bray on Jay Stratton A very nice compliment in front of an important audience. According to Stratton, later that year, "Arnold Rimmer" of OUSD(I&S), an alleged Legacy-program lackey, decided to brief Treasury Secretary, Steve Mnuchin, and tell him all UAP were balloons. Bray made sure Stratton was able to follow that up with his own, non-bullshit briefing. As Stratton and Bray arrived, Mnuchin greeted them and said, 'I’ve been waiting fifty-eight years for this briefing.' And with the floor all Stratton's, he began, with Mnuchin paying close attention. As I've written before, in "The Age of Disclosure," Stratton said Mnuchin told him he requested the briefing because he needed to know what, "the economic impacts and other impacts would be if the President decides to go to the podium and tell the American people that we are not alone.” Stratton says it was made clear to him that Trump, who only had base facts and not the full picture, was considering making such a statement. I'm skeptical of that. And that was 6 years ago. Is he considering it again? There are more details to the Mnuchin story, and much more, in the book. Really good read so far. November of 2022 in Huntsville. ⬇️)

Double trouble -- our peer-reviewed machine learning/transient paper has also just been published. This is where we clean up the sample and see that the fewer contaminants there are, the stronger the correlation with nukes and the larger the shadow deficit. It also shows that the correlations with nukes is strongest 24 hours before a nuclear test. Link: nature.com/articles/s41598-0…
