Natural Resources + Human Resources + Financial Resources = African Industrialization. I'm heading to ADIPEC 2026 in Abu Dhabi (Nov 2–5) to advance this vision. Proud to be part of this ecosystem, turning cooperation into industrialization that benefits entire economies. 🇦🇪

The African Energy Chamber extends its deepest condolences, prayers and solidarity to the people of Gabon, the families of the workers involved, and the teams at BW Energy, Panoro Energy, Gabon Oil Company and Borr Drilling following the tragic sinking of the Prospector 5 offshore drilling rig. Of the 115 people aboard, 110 have been safely accounted for, while five remain missing as search-and-rescue operations continue. Our thoughts are with the missing workers, their loved ones, their colleagues and the emergency response teams working tirelessly under difficult conditions. We stand in solidarity with all those affected by this tragedy and commend the ongoing efforts to locate the missing personnel. We urge all stakeholders to continue working closely with the Gabonese authorities and emergency responders, ensuring that every available resource and technical capability is directed towards the search-and-rescue operation. Supporting affected families, maintaining transparent communication and prioritising the safety and well-being of personnel must remain central to the response. This is a difficult moment for Gabon and the wider African energy industry. The sector must stand together, offering practical support and solidarity to everyone affected. The immediate priority is to bring the missing workers home. The African Energy Chamber stands with Gabon, BW Energy, Panoro Energy, Gabon Oil Company, Borr Drilling and the families and colleagues affected as search-and-rescue efforts continue. #AfricanEnergy #Gabon #EnergyIndustry #Safety

I'm speaking at the Simandou Mining Summit in Conakry 🇬🇳 Panel: Powering the Next Economy — Energy, Processing & Industrial Growth in Guinea No energy, no industrialisation. No energy, no future. Africa must ADD all its resources — not eliminate them.

Africa doesn’t need to eliminate risk; it needs to identify, allocate, price & manage it. Great discussion at #AEW2026 on De-risking Petroleum E&P. We must make political risk predictable and de-risk the entire value chain, not just the well. 🛢️🌍 #EnergyFinance

If investors cannot repatriate their money, they will not put their money in. We need credible FX regimes and strategic geopolitical options for Africa.

Honored to speak at #AEW2026 on the panel "Derisking Petroleum Exploration in Production." My core message: Africa doesn't need to eliminate risk — we need to identify it, assign it, and manage it properly. #AfricaEnergyWeek #PetroleumExploration #RiskManagement
