This is an MBS appreciation post. I don’t think he gets anywhere near enough credit for what he’s doing for the Muslim world. In Sudan, he’s fighting against the genocidal RSF militia. In Yemen, he’s backing the Yemeni government against the khat munching rogue Houthi militia. In Syria, he’s investing billions into its reconstruction and is the main backer of the vision to turn the country into a major trade and connectivity hub. In Lebanon, he’s the main backer of the Lebanese government, both economically and diplomatically. In Palestine, he’s helped secure Trump’s backing for the Gaza peace plan and is set to invest billions in Gaza’s reconstruction and the establishment of a Palestinian state. He successfully lobbied France, Britain, Portugal, Luxembourg, Malta, Andorra, Monaco and San Marino to recognise Palestinian statehood, with Belgium also committing to recognition. In Pakistan, he’s repeatedly stepped in with billions in financial assistance to help prevent an economic collapse. In Somalia, he’s supporting Somalia’s unity and working to block any recognition of breakaway regions like Somaliland. And in Saudi Arabia, he’s grown the sovereign wealth fund from $150 billion to 1 trillion and doubled the country’s GDP since taking power. All of this while confronting Iranian and Israeli expansionism across the region, and while being called a traitor and a sellout. If you’ve been conditioned to hate this man, ask yourself how much of that hatred comes from what you actually know and how much comes from what you’ve been fed. Because whatever you think of him, you should be hoping and praying that he succeeds in what he’s trying to achieve. If his vision succeeds, the entire Muslim world stands to benefit.

Umrah pilgrims and Visitors to the Haramain were among those who were martyred and injured in the terrorist attack at Riyadh’s King Khalid International airport May Allah shower boundless mercy and forgiveness upon those who have lost their lives in these heinous terrorist attacks, grant them the highest ranks of Paradise, and bless the injured with a swift and complete recovery.

A beautiful example of sisterhood and lasting love. ❤️ Sister Maryam Mulei served her masjid with humility as a cleaner. After her passing, her friends came together to build a Sadaqah Jariyah well in her memory—turning remembrance into ongoing charity. May Allah accept it.

"A LASTING MARK" Sometimes, a photograph from the past comes to you… And you discover that it was never merely a photograph. It was a message delayed. Today, we received a photograph that had been taken about a year and a half ago. And yesterday came the news of the death of the man in it, in Malaysia… I stared at the photograph for a long time. How strange the human being is… You may see someone frozen in a photograph, while behind that single image lies an entire lifetime of moments and deeds that we knew nothing about. After Fajr prayer, the conversation was about him… Not about a position he held. Not about wealth he accumulated. Not about achievements people had written into his biography. The conversation was about a man who understood the meaning of family. He made Friday a gathering that was never missed. He would bring together his family, and his children. Hearts would meet before the dining tables did, and he would honour them with a meal that brought them together. As though this man understood something we so often forget: Some dining tables are not meant merely to feed bodies… They are meant to keep family bonds alive. Then I learned something else… He had a business, and he was involved in a restaurant. But every Friday, he would set aside a large container of food for the people of Gaza. It would be packed into individual meals and sold outside the Islamic centre his family had established in Nairobi, with the proceeds dedicated as charity for the people of Gaza. Ya Allah… How great a human being seems when he does not make his wealth solely for himself. How beautiful commerce becomes when there is, within its accounts, a share for humanity. And how food becomes something greater than food when it is transformed into mercy that reaches people whose names we do not even know. Then came another piece of news… He had been in Malaysia visiting his son and to enroll his daughter for studies... And there, his journey came to an end. And there, he will be buried. How extraordinary life is… A person leaves his home simply to check on his son, never knowing that Allah has decreed that his final journey would be to the very place where he would be laid to rest. But I do not want to stop at death… I want to stop at what came before death. At the Fridays when he would gather his family. At the container of food he would set aside for the people of Gaza. At the centre that remained a witness to his family’s goodness. At the son he travelled to check on, only for that son to bid farewell to his father in a distant land. There, I realise that a person’s value is not measured by how long he remains… But by what he does with the days he is given. Perhaps many people knew none of this about him. Perhaps he never spoke about any of it. And perhaps that is the most beautiful part of the story… To do good, and then move on, without waiting for anyone to see you. To feed your family, and keep love alive. To feed someone in need, and keep mercy alive. To establish a place of goodness, and leave behind a lasting أثر. To raise your children upon purpose before appearances. And then you depart… Only to discover that the person you thought had lived an ordinary life had been leaving behind extraordinary things. May Allah have mercy upon you O Khidr…

In our last JMC Youth Committee meeting few days ago, he told me I should convene the next meeting since he will not always be around. The SG also told us that the committee should not always rely on Khidr since he will not be always around. Little did we know that he was leaving us. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaws. @Gamalbrb
Our brother Khidr Adam had travelled to Malaysia to accompany his children, who are studying at university there. He had hopes of waking up from sleep, the same way me and you normally Do. but.. Allah says; (Quran 39:42) It is Allah Who calls back the souls of people upon their death as well as the souls of the living during their sleep. Then He keeps those for whom He has ordained death, and releases the others until their appointed time. Surely in this are signs for people who reflect. We also learn this from his Death. (Quran 31:34) Indeed, Allah ALONE has the knowledge of the Hour. He sends down the rain, and knows what is in the wombs. No soul knows what it will earn for tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land it will die. Surely Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware. ALLAHU AKBAR!! May Allah make jannatul firdous his abode.

Cancel Culture One of the harshest things people do is cancel someone because of one mistake. A person can spend years doing good, helping others, and trying to live well, but one mistake, one wrong post, and suddenly people act as if none of the good ever existed. But the Quran does not teach us to think this way. In the Quran, a mistake does not have to be the end of your story. If you return to Allah, it can become the beginning of your new story. Adam عليه السلام made a mistake. He repented. Allah accepted his repentance, and a new chapter began: فَتَلَقَّىٰ آدَمُ مِن رَّبِّهِ كَلِمَاتٍ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ “Then Adam received words from his Lord, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, He is the Accepter of repentance, the Most Merciful.” And look at Musa عليه السلام. Years later, Pharaoh tried to use Musa’s past against him: وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ الَّتِي فَعَلْتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ “You committed that deed of yours which you did…” Musa did not pretend it never happened. He acknowledged it: قَالَ فَعَلْتُهَا إِذًا وَأَنَا مِنَ الضَّالِّينَ “He said, ‘I did it then, while I was among those who were astray.’” He made a mistake, turned back to Allah, and Allah raised him to become one of His greatest messengers. That is the difference between people and Allah. People may hold onto your mistake and forget all your good. Allah allows you to repent, change, and begin again. So do not spend your life trying to satisfy people who are determined to hold your past over your head. Repent, change and keep doing good. Your mistake does not have to be the end of your story. With sincere repentance, it can become the beginning of a new one. SOURCE: Abu Bakr Zoud facebook.com/share/1Husex5cq…

🌴 The Last Hour on Friday; Asr 🌴 The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The day of Friday has twelve hours, in which there is no Muslim slave who asks Allah for anything but He will grant it to him, so seek it in the last hour after ‘Asr.” Reported by Abu Dawood (1048) and an-Nasaa’i (1389);
