My father attended my wedding with his second family, and my mother had no idea they existed. I was standing at the reception when a little girl approached me. Little girl: "Are you the bride?" Me: "Yes, sweetheart." Little girl: "That's my daddy. He said you're my big sister." She pointed toward an older man sitting near the entrance. I smiled, thinking she was confused. Then I looked at the man. It was my father. I walked over. Me: "Dad, who is that little girl?" Dad: "Can we talk later?" Me: "No. Who is she?" He looked uncomfortable. Dad: "She's your sister." I froze.

Paul isn’t just a regular guy. He’s been specially bred and trained from birth by the best fighters in the galaxy, plus advanced techniques from his mother. The Fremen are tough from living in the desert, but that doesn’t automatically make every one of them unbeatable. Elite training and preparation can still beat raw toughness in a one-on-one fight, that’s exactly what happened here.
How did Paul manage to defeat Jamis in Dune: Part One when Jamis is a Fremen, who are stronger and more skilled than regular humans?

It’s never overtly stated, given that this was still — at least to some extent — a children’s book, but given the clues we can take a stab at it. Greyback’s pet hobby was biting and creating more werewolves, hoping in time to amass an army behind him who could bring the fight to the wizards he hated so much. Lupin tried to convince other werewolves that Greyback’s murderous creed would not bring about the best kind of change, yet confessed that his cool-headed logic fared badly against Greyback’s rage and bloodlust. Fenrir Greyback is, perhaps, the most savage werewolf alive today. He regards it as his mission in life to bite and to contaminate as many people as possible; he wants to create enough werewolves to overcome the wizards. Voldemort has promised him prey in return for his services. Greyback specializes in children . . . Bite them young, he says, and raise them away from their parents, raise them to hate normal wizards. Hermione, however, was past the age where she could be taught to hate wizards. Bellatrix seemed open to handing Hermione over to Greyback after she was finished with her; depending on what kind of condition she was in, he might have tried to wait for the full moon and then turn her. But he would not have been able to indoctrinate her, and knew it. As a werewolf, Hermione would’ve fallen in with Lupin and his ilk, whom Greyback likely despised even more than he did wizards themselves. As Dumbledore noted in the Astronomy Tower the night he died, Greyback had graduated from merely biting people to create new werewolves. His bloodlust had grown ungovernable, and he indulged himself without reservations. That night he savaged Bill Weasley and tried to attack Harry, despite the fact that he was not transformed and could not turn them — his attacks had shifted from being strategic to hedonistic, and he craved blood so strongly and so often that he fed his insatiable appetite at every opportunity. Am I to take it that you are attacking even without the full moon now? This is most unusual . . . You have developed a taste for human flesh that cannot be satisfied once a month? But there’s more, particularly with regards to Hermione. When he snatched the three after Harry broke Taboo, he glanced her over and said this: And lastly, your pretty little friend . . . I'm not going to bite just yet. We'll see if she's a bit quicker at remembering her name than Barny. Who are you, girly? There is, from the outset, a suggestion of sexual assault in what he says about her. By the time Bellatrix had singled Hermione out for interrogation, Greyback knew more than her identity — he had recognized that of the remaining captives, Ron was the one attached to her in more than a platonic sense. He directed his next remark at Ron specifically, seeking to maximally wound, and the shaft hit home. He derived as much pleasure from Ron’s palpable terror and helpless rage as he did from the thought of what he would do to Hermione once Bellatrix wrapped things up upstairs. “Reckon she'll let me have a bit of the girl when she's finished with her?” Greyback crooned as he forced them along the corridor. “I’d say I'll get a bite or two, wouldn't you, ginger?” Harry could feel Ron shaking. Fortunately, he never had the chance to hurt her. But during the final battle, Greyback attacked the crumpled, wounded body of Lavender Brown — fittingly, it was Hermione who defended her, and Trelawney who dropped him to save one of her favorite students. Two bodies fell from the balcony overhead. As they reached the ground a grey blur that Harry took for an animal sped four-legged across the hall to sink its teeth into one of the fallen. “NO!” shrieked Hermione, and with a deafening blast from her wand, Fenrir Greyback was thrown backward from the feebly struggling body of Lavender Brown. He hit the marble bannisters and struggled to return to his feet. Then, with a bright white flash and a crack, a crystal ball fell on top of his head,
What exactly was Fenrir Greyback going to do to Hermione in Deathly Hallows? There were a couple of implications.

I've always found Paul Atreides to be one of the most interesting characters in Dune, mainly because I'm not entirely sure he's supposed to be a hero. At first, you see him as someone trying to survive, protect his family, and find his place in the universe. But as the story progresses, things get darker. His rise to power comes with consequences that affect millions of people. What makes it even more interesting is that Paul can see what might happen, yet he still moves toward a future filled with violence and destruction. So here's something I've been wondering: Is Paul Atreides actually a hero who lost his way, or was he always destined to become the villain of his own story? I'd love to hear how other Dune fans see him.

Can a real Dune fan make me understand, was Arrakis always a desert planet in Dune or did it become barren through some ecological process??? Is the desert a result of spice extraction or something else tied to the spice cycle !???

Something I've always wondered about Paul Atreides: If he could see countless possible futures, why couldn't he find one where he defeated his enemies without eventually becoming the very thing he feared? Was the Jihad genuinely unavoidable, or did Paul's own decisions gradually turn it into a reality?

Can someone explain something about the Dune universe? The spice comes from the sandworm life cycle, and the Water of Life allows Reverend Mothers to access ancestral memories. But considering how deeply connected the sandworms are to Arrakis and its spice ecosystem, could there be a much deeper relationship between the worms, ancestral memory and the collective history of the Fremen?

Do you know why the Malfoy family wasn't sent to Azkaban after Voldemort was defeated? It was all thanks to Narcissa Malfoy. Here are some facts about Narcissa you definitely need to know. First, Narcissa never joined the Death Eaters. She only worked for Voldemort to protect Draco. She was the only member of the Malfoy family who didn't have the Dark Mark on her arm. Of course, Voldemort never truly trusted her. Second, according to the novels, Narcissa had her own wand. It was made of Hawthorn wood, but in the movies, we never actually see her perform a complete spell. Third, Narcissa came from the Black Family. She was Sirius' cousin and Bellatrix's younger sister. She was also the only member of her family who was naturally blonde, and her name was the only one in the family that had nothing to do with stars. Fourth, as a mother, Narcissa treasured Draco above everything else. But that didn't change the fact that she was prejudiced against Muggle-borns. She was also quite tall. Harry's first impression of her was that she looked like she'd got something nasty stuck under her nose. Fifth, when Voldemort asked Narcissa to check whether Harry was still alive in the Forbidden Forest, she deliberately lied and said that Harry was dead. It was this lie that allowed the Malfoy family to receive lighter punishment. Even Harry himself testified on their behalf. That's why they didn't end up in Azkaban. Finally, here's a question for you. Do you know why Narcissa's hair has two different colors?

Don't forget Shang-Chi beat the Dweller-in-Darkness, an ancient cosmic monster, with the Ten Rings.
Is Shang-Chi the one hero who could actually stand a chance against Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday, or am I giving him too much credit? The Ten Rings might be Marvel's secret weapon.

Watching Dune as a Muslim makes the Fremen’s belief in the Lisan al-Gaib hit differently. There’s something about seeing how deeply they hold on to that prophecy that makes me reflect on the power of Iman (faith) itself. The moment Stilgar watched Paul ride the sandworm, his reaction said everything. You could see a man whose belief was so deeply rooted that, to him, this wasn’t just a spectacle; it was a sign that everything he’d believed in was finally coming to pass. That scene genuinely hit me differently.
