Most (all?) criticizing Switch 2 completely wrote off Switch. Thats not to say 2 should be immune to criticism or the criticism isn’t valid. Just consider how wrong people were with one of the most successful consoles in history.

Gem of a game.

Not my thing either. But consider that I can walk into any supermarket in the US and find shelves of porn for women. Is this game not great because it shows skin? Maybe to some. I think it’s fine and don’t care. Just like I don’t care that we have all given the thumbs up to push shopping carts with our small children past rows of romance novels that have their own language and culture of “harmful stereotypes”. Is pushing skimpy clothes worse than scantily clothed billionaire playboys? The double standard is beyond parody. Enough is enough with the new Puritanism. This constrained marketplace of ideas has run its course. Let people like what they like. Don’t like it? Find something you like and move on. And if you are a dev scold, policing creators like Marge Simpson yelling at Itchy and Scratchy, it’s time to get over yourself.

Played an hour having heard zero about it. It’s fantastic.

I have seen two things in this game. 1) Norman walking 2) Norman falling hilariously. That is enough to prove this should supplant Unreal.
