It will more than likely take a private members Bill to implement Justice O'Haras primary recommendation for a statutory individual duty of candour with criminal sanctions for breach of this. Please fill in this consultation. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F…

"We cannot take that hurt away tonight, but we can put decency back at the heart of the British state, and that is what this bill does." With the Hillsborough Law set to be approved in the Commons, Andy Burnham says he hopes it "ends the cover-up culture" many have faced in the country.

The Hillsborough families fought not just for their loved ones, but for families they would never meet. That’s why the Hillsborough Law is not just for the 97. It’s for everyone.
Today, the Hillsborough Law will make sure the tragic injustices and institutional failures of the past are never repeated. Margaret Aspinall, Sue Roberts, Steve Kelly and Charlotte Hennessy all lost loved ones at Hillsborough. Here are their stories.

Today belongs to the Hillsborough families. They never gave up. Because of them, our country is one step closer to ensuring no family has to fight so long for truth and justice again. liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/new…

Without accountability, there can be no justice. Hillsborough changed who I was as a person and as a politician.

Hopefully this is passed and a step closer to the Hillsborough Law which will be across statutory services. No one should have to battle to get to the truth about what happened to their loved one. No on should feel they are exempt from consequences because of their job title.

Never a more important time for public trust in the medical profession. There are some in NI that should consider their position & put the public interest first, instead of their own (again). Trust?

The over complicated, off putting consultation for a statutory individual duty of candour closes soon. We watched this documentary 04 & Claire's case got added ❗4❗ years later! How - why? There are still many who cast a long long shadow over the medical profession.
