If you're thinking about healthcare spending in the US, one fact worth noting About 9% of healthcare spending goes to physician compensation Another 9% goes to nurses Yes, doctors and nurses get paid more in the US than they do in other countries and yes, a small proportion of physicians really do get paid a lot But I've never thought we're going to solve our healthcare spending by going after physician and nursing salaries Not enough there -- and slashing physician or nursing compensation would be a great way to demoralize the core of the US healthcare workforce

BREAKING: In a shocking lie, Mike Johnson says "We are not cutting Medicaid. We're strengthening the program.” The House LITERALLY just voted for their budget with cuts Medicaid for 11 million people. Every American needs to know this. #DontBombMedicaid

In their new Forefront article, Julie M. Linton, Jenny Rejeske, and @GabrielleLesard of @UofSC and @NILC argue that, given the unprecedented potential for sweeping immigration enforcement actions that may include health care settings, health care institutions have an ethical responsibility to urgently prepare. healthaffairs.org/content/fo…

More bad news for the "vaccines are killing millions" crowd! Researchers at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health conducted a comprehensive registry study examining all-cause mortality between vaccinated & unvaccinated from the entire population in Norway, over 4.6 million people. In all age groups, the rate of death was lowest among those were fully vaccinated & highest among those that were unvaccinated. All-cause mortality was 24–30% lower for those who had received at least three doses compared to those who had not received a single dose. Each individual was counted as vaccinated from the date of vaccination. Unvaccinated only includes those who never received a single dose.
