🚧 SN62 Product Launch Update
We’re setting out the long-term vision for Ridges - which is why we’re postponing the product launch by two weeks.
#SN62 is one of Bittensor’s biggest success stories, and one of its strongest contenders for mass adoption.
Rushing this launch would be a disservice to the incredible work
@hobbleabbas and the team have been doing behind the scenes.
🧵 Here's why - and our plan of action for launch on March 5th.

ANNOUNCEMENT
YANEZ is excited to announce that we’ve signed our first client for our Biometric Data API subscription product. While this is a Proof of Concept (PoC) at this stage, it marks an important milestone in demonstrating traction and market demand for our product.
This is the same KYC/ID verification client mentioned in our December update
nitter.gq/yanez__ai/status/19955…
and while the numbers have evolved slightly, the key takeaway is clear: our product is ready for sales and has already gained interest from a major partner in KYC/ID verification.
With this, we now have TWO LIVE PRODUCTS, with a third expected very soon.
To learn more about how our products fit into our Revenue Flywheel, follow the link at the end of this post.
One massive market. Three cutting edge products. A compounding revenue flywheel.
YANEZ isn’t selling disconnected tools, it’s building trust once, then expanding the relationship.
• One current product live (average $40k ARR per client)
• Modular by design → upsell path to ~$150k
• Two additional products coming, same buyer, same problem space
When all three are live, any entry point becomes a gateway.
Land with one → cross-sell the other two → up to $300k ARR per client.
No market hopping. No re-education. No restarting trust.
Just deeper penetration into a single, massive financial crime prevention market.
That’s how you turn product breadth into revenue density.
(See the link below for an overview of our current revenue performance)

Bullishhhh…
(1/4) Trust is earned over time, but conviction is shown in follow-on capital.
We are proud to announce a $50k strategic OTC deal for SN54 alpha tokens. This investment comes from a private partner who was part of our initial $900k outside raise last year.
They saw what we built before Bittensor. Now, they are doubling down on our future within it.
So far you guys have delivered.. $tao
🚀 The last 8 months at Ridges have been a blur. Since May, we’ve shipped
- Open source agent competitions topping SWE-Bench with OSS models
- Mine with Google login, no keys necessary
- Mixed evaluations - agents running on both fix and create style software engineering benchmarks
- Ridges Beta v1 👀
- Lots of under-the-hood breakthroughs like runner sandboxing, spam detection, scaling evals beyond 1k per day
And much, much more.
Each of these moments have been pivotal in setting up for the next - but this is just the start, and we’re super excited to show you what’s next.
The biggest news in Ridges history drops in two weeks. Mark your calendars. 📅

MEV bots are back
Here’s an example showing repeated in/out activity:

How is this still possible, is there a loophole or exploit?

2025 was a year of technical milestones for DSTRBTD.
We’re proud of how far we’ve come; here are some of our favourite highlights of the year:
• May: First team to integrate DeepMind’s DiLoCo strategy into a Bittensor subnet.
• August: Became only the 2nd team globally to train a 1B LLM in a fully open consensus setting (trustless, permission-less, distributed & decentralized).
• October: Unlocked 30B parameter scaling via multi-GPU mining and began training our 4B model on main-net.
• December: Launched Mechanism 1, a winner-takes-all incentive engine for producing SOTA distributed training strategies.
Despite these wins, we are currently the lowest priced subnet on the network and the leading candidate for de-registration.
We’ve sourced feedback from stakeholders and the wider bittensor community and here is what we believe we got wrong last year:
1) We were slow to adapt to Dynamic Tao (dTAO):
The shift to dTAO brought legal and operational complexities that consumed too much of of our time in Q2. We prioritized compliance over visibility. We now have a sustainable structure that frees us to focus entirely on building.
2) We assumed the tech would speak for itself:
In distributed training, the moonshot goal will take time to realize. We've learned that along the way we need to distill incremental technical wins into digestible milestones that relate to our long term vision.
3) We failed to capture the non-technical mindshare:
We focused on the "how" and ignored the "so what." We were so immersed in the technical challenges that we didn't prioritize explaining to the average retail investor why these achievements mattered.
We are now committed to crafting bespoke, accessible content on a weekly basis.
We're confident that if we survive this de-registration battle we can use the lessons we've learnt in 2025 to move faster and communicate more clearly as we try and achieve our objectives for 2026:
- SOTA Distributed Training Strategies: Incentivising distributed training strategies on Mechanism 1 that outperform the current SOTA.
- Decentralised Competitiveness: Proving Mechanism 0 can create decentralized LLMs that match the outputs of models like GPT, Claude and Gemini.
- Value Distribution: Building systems to capture the value of our outputs and distribute it back to our token holders.
We wholeheartedly believe in creating AI for the many, not the few.
We’re ready to prove that the most undervalued subnet on the network is also the most technically ambitious.
Wish us luck!

Mechanism 1 is only 10 days old, but the progress we're seeing there is already very exciting. As miners refine their strategies we're seeing lower losses and communication volumes (more efficient training), and better throughputs (faster training speed).
If this trend continues, we hope to see miners producing state of the art distributed training strategies that can be fed directly into Mechanism 0 runs to train larger models faster.
For regular updates on Mechanism 1's progress, checkout our updated dashboard: dash.dstrbtd.ai/mech1

Starting the year incredibly grateful to our Open Source contributors.
Over the holidays, while working on a PR to migrate our Mechanism 0 DataLoader to R2, @jorritvangils spotted a critical bug in our miner code. He quickly merged a fix (PR #87: github.com/dstrbtd/Distribut…) to ensure miners were publishing the correct DataLoader seeds that they're using during training.
Our recently released Mechanism 1 was built as an ode to the power and benefits of Open Source. By requiring miners to publicly reveal their strategies, we’re harnessing the "wisdom of the crowd." We also get compounding, incremental progress that helps us move faster towards our objective of training larger models faster in decentralised, distributed settings.
Imagine @const_reborn drops a few 500 $TAO bombs on @dstrbtd_ai to show how quick things could change $dtao #sn38
I wonder if @dstrbtd_ai will be deregged.... or someone big will realize how undervalued this subnet really is compared to the rest that are in the same field, and bring it to safety for the greater good of the ecosystem. #sn38 $tao $dtao

DSTRBTD’s Run 4 is our most stable attempt to date at training a 4B parameter model in a fully permission-less, trust-less and decentralised setting: dash.dstrbtd.ai/performance.
Over the past week, we’ve seen an average of 10 participants per AllReduce (the process of sharing gradients with all other participants in the network), with the global loss steadily decreasing to ~2.6 over 40 outer steps.
As training continues this week and loss starts to naturally plateau, we’ll begin benchmarking global checkpoints on standard LLM evals to keep monitoring progress.

DSTRBTD's Mechanism 1 is now producing reproducible benchmarks for distributed training optimizers.
Each optimizer is evaluated in a sandbox environment that trains NanoGPT variants for 10k steps. We record:
• Final Loss
• Communication Volume
• Throughput
These metrics are combined into an aggregate performance score, and the top scoring strategy receives all the emissions allocated to Mechanism 1.
This creates a principled, performance metric driven incentive for developing SOTA optimizers that can directly accelerate our Mechanism 0 runs by enabling larger models to train faster across unverified, decentralized nodes.
How come no one is talking about @ridges_ai current top score of 62.2% lol HODL were about to go on a run $tao $dtao

🕰️ Our biggest request from users is to speed agents up. Today, our IM is reducing the amount of time agents have to solve problems by almost half, from 40 mins to 25 mins, to push miners to make agents that are more time and inference efficient
Very cool 🤓
Introducing DSTRBTD’s Subnet Mechanism 1 - DisTrOpZ
github.com/dstrbtd/DisTrOpZ
Inspired by @exolabs's gym, this mechanism asks miners to submit a competitive Distributed Training Strategy which includes a pairing of a Communication Class and an Optimizer Class.
Mechanism 1 will be a winner-takes-all competition where 100% of the emissions will flow to the strategy that achieves:
• highest throughput
• lowest communication cost
• greatest loss reduction
The objective is to incentivize the submission of strategies that can outperform existing approaches such as SparseLoCo (@tplr_ai), DiLoCo (@GoogleDeepMind), DeMo (@NousResearch), and Muon (@benjamintherien et al.) and to ultimately integrate the winning strategy into Mechanism 0 to enable training larger models faster with substantially lower bandwidth requirements.
Emissions will remain at 0% initially as we refine our validation process and benchmark these baselines against it. Once our evaluation framework demonstrates consistent, repeatable results, we’ll begin incrementally increasing emissions to this mechanism.
