COMING SOON: Sheila’s saga continues…. A small-town bank robbery near the Mexican border gets botched, and the local sheriff and deputies surround the building. Trapped inside, waiting for a time-locked vault, the plans of the three heavily armed, ex-military felons unravel—especially when one of their own becomes an uncontrollable psychotic. As the gang desperately stalls for time, unknown to them, the greatest threat is already inside the bank. Among the hostages is Sheila. And as the sun goes down and the full moon rises, the hidden beast inside her must feast. Sheila finds herself fighting her own savagery to spare Enrico, a local customer she’s been eyeing, now also a hostage, as the hunger within her grows. But against three armed felons and a rising moon, her control is slipping fast. Sheila is very hungry… The Bank is the pulse-pounding second installment in A Full Moon Horror Novella. REVIEW: RED METAL by @MarkGreaneyBook & H. Ripley Rawlings IV 📖💥 Looking for a big military thriller to read, I came across a new hardcover copy of “Red Metal” so I grabbed it. Getting busy with my writing and life, I shelved it. But it kept popping into my mind, especially every time I visited my TBR shelf. After months of putting it off and reading other books, I finally sat down to read the gargantuan military thriller. It was a big read. But it was also a big surprise. The buildup toward the war is well written. The deployments, execution, carnage, twists, lucky moves, and aftermath are all well written (I do not want to give away any spoilers). Most of the novel’s characters possess strong development and some depth. However, the novel lacks details about key characters (except for three touched upon) about their lives outside the military, which could have added more depth and elicited stronger emotions from the reader. But one stood out, leaving you wanting to read more about that character and their post-war dealings. Almost all the stories and incidents have closure. The sad ones leave you wanting (some could have had better closure), but not all war stories have happy endings, of course. One incident, which deserves closure, receives no further attention or mention. Perhaps a miss? If you want a big military thriller read with some fun, that has the details of carnage and of a war of politics and greed, I recommend “Red Metal”. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Have you read Red Metal or Mark Greaney’s Gray Man series? What’s your favorite military thriller? Let me know in the comments! ⬇️ #MilitaryThriller #RedMetal #BookReview

Just finished the first draft of my military thriller at 158k words! It has covert operations, political corruption, and enough tactical gear and action to keep the pages turning. Now I will let it sit for 30 days before performing tactical surgery to cut 50k+ words. Whew! #WritingCommunity #AmWriting
