Dear Sir, GMDA has commenced bituminous overlay work on the widened portion of SPR, where the previously unpaved stretch is being developed into an additional bituminous concrete carriageway. GSB work had been completed earlier, but the laying of the final layer was delayed due to issues with bitumen procurement. With supplies now resumed, the work is progressing to provide a paved surface and mitigate dust generated from the unpaved portions. Thank you.

I spent 5 days in Japan studying health and science. But I came back with 4 words that changed how I look at life. The Japanese have words we simply don’t have in English. And when I heard them, I could not stop thinking about how much we are missing. 4 words that I brought back home with me. 1. YUTORI (ゆとり) — Leave some room in your life. We have become obsessed with filling every single minute. Meetings. Calls. Workouts. Podcasts. More goals. More hustle. But your body heals in stillness. Your mind thinks clearly in space. We have forgotten what it feels like to just breathe. 2. REI (礼) — Respect doesn’t make you smaller. I watched people bow here. To welcome someone. To thank someone. To simply acknowledge another human being. The most grounded, confident people I know carry deep respect for others. It does not shrink them. It makes them bigger. 3. PIN PIN KORORI (ピンピンコロリ) — Don’t only live longer. Stay capable longer. This one hit me hard. Because we chase longevity. But longevity without quality of life means nothing. The real goal is to be sharp, strong, mobile, and present for as long as possible. That is what I call Human Capacity. And you build it every single day with the small choices you make. 4. ISOGABA MAWARE (急がば回れ) — Sometimes the slower route gets you there faster. We glorify urgency. Fix yourself faster. Grow faster. Heal faster. But your body does not work on urgency. It works on consistency. The slow, steady, intentional path always wins. Japan did not just teach me about health. It reminded me that the way you live every day is the medicine. Which one are you going to start using in your life today? #japan #india #lifelessons

Becoming an IAS officer is not merely about clearing a competitive examination. It also entails accepting the responsibility to uphold constitutional values, demonstrate integrity and treat people with dignity. Civil servants occupy positions of authority, but their leadership is reflected not only in the decisions they make, but also in how they interact with colleagues, subordinates and citizens. Isn't civil services one of the most compromised careers even tho enriching ? Political bosses to citizens - get kicked and kick others. Views ? – at Gurgaon, India

Quick-help apps like Urban Company, Pronto, and Snabbit ensure that house help is just a few screen taps away. This is beginning to upset the ecosystem of support among domestic workers and long-term relationships built with employers. @Such_InkPen also finds the lack of a safety net for workers in Mumbai. thehindu.com/news/cities/mum…

Some critical questions on MCD’s proposed fee of up to ₹ 300/mth⬇️ Where is the accountability for existing taxes, poor segregation, overflowing landfills/waste burning? Before charging citizens more, fix the system, ensure transparency & hold bulk waste generators accountable.

🗞️ Breaking News: Your Blood Knows If You Do Sudarshan Kriya taught in @ArtofLiving New research by Prof. B. K. Thelma of the Department of Genetics, Delhi University South Campus, compared SKY practitioners with a non-practitioner control group and examined blood-based markers. The headline finding: those who do the SKY practice have much lower inflammatory markers. @Gurudev Sri Sri calls the research thrilling, and describes the practice as his gift to the world. The professor's own takeaway: learn the practice. Science catching up with what practitioners have felt for decades. Worth sending to anyone who thinks meditation is just sitting quietly. 🙏 Learn Sudarshan Kriya in @ArtofLiving using the link 🖇️ bit.ly/Learn_SudarshanKriya Source 🎥: @sri.sri.wisdom Instagram

Incredible India 🇮🇳. On the sacred Narmada River in Madhya Pradesh stands Omkareshwar where Lord Shiva is worshipped as the eternal cosmic light. It’s also where Adi Shankaracharya arrived in the 700 hundreds and started his spiritual walks across Bharat to bring the message of “oneness”.

Women aged 48 to 92 with good blood vitamin C levels were stronger than women with low levels, with a firmer grip for their height, faster walking and quicker rises from a chair. Vitamin C helps build collagen and protects muscle from oxidative damage, and earlier work in the same English population pointed to a link with muscle. In more than 13,000 men and women aged 42 to 82 from the EPIC-Norfolk study, people with enough vitamin C in their blood carried a little more of their body weight as muscle than people with too little, a small edge in men and roughly twice that edge in women. That study looked at muscle size. The same research group has now looked at how well people actually move. They analysed more than 5,000 adults aged 48 to 92 from EPIC-Norfolk, measured vitamin C in their blood, and grouped them as low, in between or good. They then tested grip strength, walking speed and how long it took to stand up from a chair five times in a row, taking lifestyle, health and diet into account. 1. Women with good vitamin C levels walked noticeably faster than women with low levels, covering about 22 extra feet for every minute of walking, which is roughly the length of a living room. 2. Women with good levels also got up and down from a chair five times about a full second quicker, and had a stronger grip for their height. 3. Men showed a smaller version of the same pattern, covering about 10 extra feet per minute of walking and finishing the five chair stands a little under a second quicker. Taken together, the evidence points toward low vitamin C as a marker worth avoiding in later life. Blood levels showed a clearer link than food diaries did, especially in men, where diet records alone showed nothing. Fruit and vegetables remain the main way most people keep their levels up. The study took one snapshot in time, so it cannot show whether low vitamin C came before slower movement or the other way around. People with good vitamin C levels may also have other healthy habits. It measured blood levels, not the effect of taking supplements, and the authors call for longer studies and trials.
