Was really tempted to briefly un-furlough myself to do BLM solidarity posts from my museum's accounts until I remembered we (like most museums) don't walk the walk so it would be disingenuous, hollow and gross to talk the talk 😓
We have SO MUCH work to do #BlackLivesMatter
Tate and MoMA instagramming the work of black artists they don’t actually display so much, as their act of ‘solidarity’, is the art world equivalent of the cops taking a knee for photos before they go back to business as usual.
