Hello. I am making an SC6 rollback mod. I was planning on shadow dropping it but I need match data to fix some bugs. This is still an alpha build, but relatively stable enough to give to people. If you want to play it, instructions are in this discord here discord.gg/pGD3Emsrja
This is going to suck so much ass
A24 is reportedly spending nearly $200 million on its Elden Ring movie, by far the most expensive film the studio has ever produced.
For comparison, A24’s previous record was Marty Supreme, with a budget of around $70 million.
The Elden Ring adaptation is planned for 2028 and represents a massive jump in scale for a studio best known for independent and unconventional movies.
A24 has also grown into a major industry brand, valued at around $3.5 billion as of 2024.
I've been very excited to play this when it got announced. I used to play this on a PSP emulator with a few others in the community.
If you are only experience is playing SC2 or SC6 I really do recommend trying this out. Its a good mash of old and modern Soulcalibur games.
Soul Calibur Broken Destiny with rollback is supported on Arkadyzja. Please bring your legally obtained copy and read the quickstart below.
Soul Calibur 2 will be next, wanted to finish it first but Namco gave me SCBD discount for doing Tekkens

I think this is probably first rollback Soul Calibur since SC1 on Flycast. SC guys told me its an updated/balanced version of SC4. While i dont think either one is fan favorite - BD is kinda a brand new game, because there was no way to play it in optimal conditions before, so for me - huge preservation win, enjoy and have a great weekend.

Nobody was expected to endlessly "glaze" the current game when Tekken followed an iterative release model. People played the arcade versions, provided feedback, and Namco eventually released improved versions for consoles.
People generally agreed that T5 DR was better than T5, T6 BR was better than T6, and T7 FR was better than T7. The community wasn't silent back then either. People discussed and criticized these games on forums long before social media became as prominent as it is today.
What people fundamentally dislike about modern Tekken is the combination of live-service design and patch culture. Namco promises regular updates that supposedly improve the game, so naturally people keep providing feedback and expecting improvements. But since T7 Season 3, they've repeatedly undermined the series' foundational design philosophy, changing core mechanics without adequately addressing the underlying problems.
Your entire framing is wrong because this was never about whether older Tekken games were universally praised as flawless masterpieces. It's about whether they were good Tekken games and whether subsequent releases represented meaningful improvements.
Our argument has always been fairly specific: DR through T7 Season 2 represented a period of fundamentally good Tekken games. We aren't blindly claiming that everything old was good and everything new is bad. We have a very clear cutoff point where we believe Namco started taking the series in the wrong direction, and we can explain exactly which design decisions led us to that conclusion.
Its almost like thats been the entire critique of punk in general the whole time
