🎙️Qu’est-ce qui pousse certain.e.s entrepreneur.e.s à bâtir leur entreprise autour d’une mission sociale, alors que d’autres carburent à l’innovation, à la liberté ou à la maîtrise d’un métier?

Global Entrepreneurship Week.
🇧🇯 I am proud to announce a new chapter for Benin Republic !
Since 2009, I have been mobilising and leading national delegations of entrepreneurs, policymakers, ecosystem leaders and other stakeholders to the annual Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC), taking Benin’s entrepreneurial ecosystem to Kansas City 🇺🇸, Dubai 🇦🇪, Shanghai 🇨🇳, Liverpool 🇬🇧, Rio de Janeiro 🇧🇷, Moscow 🇷🇺, Milan 🇮🇹, Medellín 🇨🇴, Johannesburg 🇿🇦, Istanbul 🇹🇷, Manama 🇧🇭 and Indianapolis, Indiana 🇺🇸 .
After years of engagement, Benin has now received the licence to officially establish @GenBenin the national affiliate of the Global Entrepreneurship Network, which operates in 200 countries.
As Founder and Nationof GEN Benin, our ambition is to position 🇧🇯 Benin as a business, investment, entrepreneurship and tourism gateway to West Africa, connecting entrepreneurs, investors, companies, universities, policymakers and international partners with opportunities in our country.
My first official international trip in this new role will be to #Nigeria 🇳🇬, where I will meet with @gen_nigeria to learn from their experience in successfully running a wide range of programmes and building a strong national entrepreneurship ecosystem.
After years of taking Benin to the world, it is time to bring the world to Benin. 🇧🇯🌍

The team of @FORAMinitiative and AWECO NGO is doing great in terms of climate education, well-being and circular economy.
The problem is...most potential founders don't know they are one.
#GlobalEntrepreneurshipWeek is working to change this.
In every country, millions of people have the ideas and ambition to build something but have never seen entrepreneurship as a path available to them. That gap is not inevitable. It is a policy opportunity with a measurable return on investment.
If you're with a government entity, join fellow governments from 200 countries this November as a #GEW2026 partner.
Access your toolkit and activate a nationally coordinated campaign that reaches the founders your economy needs — and shows the world your country is a startup nation.
