Advancing Women’s Political Representation in Ghana 🇬🇭 GenCED has published its new Policy Position Paper on Proportional Representation in Ghana’s Constitutional Reform Process, highlighting the importance of designing a system that promotes meaningful and inclusive political representation. The paper calls for clear gender guarantees, transparent seat-allocation rules, meaningful participation of women and other historically underrepresented groups, and an evidence-based and inclusive reform process. As Ghana continues its constitutional reform journey, the focus should be on building a political system where more citizens have a fair and realistic opportunity to participate in and shape political power.
