My normal look back at the @IndyEleven 2026 season & look ahead to the 2027 season, including discussions about the stadium, coach, and players that I would expect to be retained. After a rough end to the season, my 2027 outlook isn't overly optimistic.

If you want to know the frustration of being an @IndyEleven fan... Louisville in a down year (w/ a 4-game losing streak) finishes Top 4 & home playoff game. Indy is 90-min away from being a playoff spectator after being 6 pts clear w/2 games in hand 5 weeks ago.
Probably, from an @IndyEleven perspective, the less we talk about the 4-1 loss to Louisville City the better, but I still gave some thoughts like I always do.

Math is hard. With @IndyEleven 3-1 loss to Tampa Bay, Indy's math gets a little simpler, but that isn't a good thing. Indy has to either win at least one of their final two games. The math is simple, the process of getting it accomplished is difficult.

A 90'+5' header by former GK Farr, @IndyEleven get a 1-1 draw. Indy has 7 league draws, 5 of which they've had the lead & lost it late. Which is how a team finds itself now sitting outside of a playoff position with just 3 daunting games remaining.

Sometimes it's how you finish the game, not how you start it. Despite conceding twice in two minutes in the 1st half, @IndyEleven find two of their own goals in the 2nd half to share the points with the Western Conference leaders New Mexico.

Say what you want about tactics, towards the end of the @IndyEleven game, tactics went out of the window, & Indy secured the point in a 2-2 comeback draw with a stoppage time goal due entirely to their effort. Effort that will endear you to a fan base.

It hasn't happened much in the LIPAFC series, but @IndyEleven pulled out a 2-1 victory against their rivals from south I-65. The win against Louisville helps Indy try to recover from the rough stretch in July.

We saw @IndyEleven be Indy in this game. Concede possession. Stay compact & disciplined on defense. Counterattack. Throw in some set piece chances & that's Indy's method of operation these days. Indy get a 1-nil victory to break the winless streak.

In @mcauleycoach's 100th game, @IndyEleven got a 1-1 draw despite getting an early goal. I'm just not sure this team has the talent, across the board, to be more than what we're seeing right now, which is a team teetering precariously on the playoff line.

Potential exists during @IndyEleven's game today for Coach McAuley to get his 100th game as coach, @DaBrickWall00 to get his 100th game in the @USLChampionship, & @cam__lindley to surpass 10,000 minutes as an Indy player (needs to play the entire game). Can they get a win too?
