The more time you spend on a skill the more critical you become about it. Not only on yourself but on others too. The moment you start seeing flaws on everything it becomes a passive job to fix it even though it's not neccesary.
You overthink, you spend more time thinking about the results than the process itself. You start beating yourself up comparing your productivity now to the one in the past because before it wasn't tied to quality but to the process of creating.
I discovered this everytime I picked up a new form of art and I wasn't critical about it. Because I had nothing to compare it to.
I think there is no easy solution for this, just turn off your brain while you are drawing and try to enjoy the process of giving form to something that was inside your head. It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to exist.

Perfectionism kills the joy of creating, understanding art technical level isn't bad but it gets to a point where it becomes intoxicating, people become afraid of making mistakes. Make anatomy mistakes, place the shadows wrong, you will enjoy drawing again once you stop caring

My favourite protagonist: Felix💚
Some background and character rendering practice, I wanted to finish something like this for my birthday this year but I'm glad I took the time to study certain art topics first before making this one!💚

This is not a joke my parents didn't let me draw because drawing faces or living things is a sin in my religion I was so scared of God but I wanted to draw so badly I would draw on the floor hiding my notebook under the beds shadow.

lol ran this thru AI and then removed the watermark.
let's not do that, it's very disrespectful to the artist who actually took their time doing this🫶🏽
Creature face anatomy made simple.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
