In Brooklyn, New York, tenant Marcus has moved out after two years in a rented apartment. His landlord, Mr. Harris, instructs the letting agent to deduct $2,700 from Marcus's $3,200 security deposit for repainting, carpet replacement and alleged wall damage. TENANT (Marcus): “Why are you keeping nearly my entire deposit? I left that apartment in good condition.” LANDLORD (Mr. Harris): “The walls need repainting, the carpet looks worn, and there are marks behind the sofa.” Marcus: “I've lived there for two years! Normal wear and tear isn't the same as damage.” LANDLORD: “You signed the lease. You agreed to return the apartment in good condition.” LETTING AGENT (Rachel): “Mr. Harris, we need to review the move-in inspection before making those deductions.” LANDLORD: “Rachel, I'm paying your agency to manage my property, not argue with me.” Marcus: “I took photographs before moving in. The carpet was already worn, and those wall marks were there.” LANDLORD: “Convenient. Everyone becomes a photographer when money is involved.” Marcus: “I want my deposit back, and I want the deductions explained in writing.” LANDLORD: “You'll get whatever remains after the repairs.” Marcus turned to Rachel. Marcus: “Can he actually charge me for making an old apartment look new?” Rachel opened her inspection folder. Rachel: “Not automatically. We need evidence of damage beyond ordinary wear and tear, and any deductions must comply with New York law.” The landlord folded his arms. LANDLORD: “Then show me your evidence.”

Our daughter asked why Daddy's phone showed two homes on the family map. I opened the app. One pin was our house. The other was a flat across town labelled "Safe House." I had never heard that name.

The funniest part of a cooking show is when the conversation gets so intense that the food almost becomes secondary. These two look like they have a lot to say about that dish, and the chef is right in the middle of it all. Sometimes the best part of a meal isn’t the food, but the conversation around the table. Who else agrees?🎬🍿

Clavicular was SHOCKED when a guy BEGGED him not to steal his girlfriend right in front of her 😭💔 “You’ve got plenty of other girls.” “Are you seriously begging me for mercy?” “There are plenty of fish in the sea.” 💀

What hurts about La La Land is that Mia and Sebastian don't have to stop loving each other for their story to end differently than we imagined, and somehow that feels more heartbreaking than a thousand fictional breakups.

7 things I wish I knew earlier, because learning them the hard way cost me years. Not everyone who smiles at you is happy for you. Some people only support you when you’re not doing better than them. Being the person everyone can depend on sounds good until you realize nobody checks whether you’re okay. You don’t owe everyone an explanation for changing your life. Sometimes people only want an explanation because they’re uncomfortable with your decision. A good opportunity can still be the wrong opportunity. Money isn’t always worth the peace you lose. Pay attention to how someone treats people who can’t do anything for them. That’s usually closer to who they really are. If you constantly have to convince someone to respect you, you’ve already been given your answer. Some endings won’t feel like freedom immediately. Sometimes you’ll spend months wondering if you made the wrong choice before realizing you finally chose yourself. I wish someone had told me these things before I learned every single one through experience. It would’ve saved me a lot of unnecessary pain.

I got on a bus and found myself sitting beside a guy who borrowed money from me months ago. He promised to repay me in two weeks, then stopped picking my calls. We chatted the whole ride like nothing happened. When we got off at the same stop, I told him, “I'm not leaving until you pay me my money.” He sighed. “Bro, I said I'll pay you.” “Yeah, months ago,” I replied.

She doesn't like watching her own movies because she is so insecure about how she looks. She was ridiculed growing up for how she looked. Her recent plastic surgery choices are her own, and she deserves to be happy with herself. I just wish she could see what we all see, then she may finally enjoy her own movies.

不死に近いエルフの視点から描かれるこの物語は、過ぎ去った時間の残酷さよりも、記憶がいかに今を生きる人々を形作るかを教えてくれる。英雄の死後から始まる旅が、最も心に響く。

This afternoon, I was walking around the upscale shopping district waiting for a friend, and my phone’s battery hit two percent. Panic set in because I needed to coordinate our meeting spot, so I looked around for any open store where I could find a plug, The closest building was an incredibly high end, minimalistic luxury designer boutique. You know the type where there are only three shirts on the rack, the floors look like solid marble, and the air smells like expensive timber. I walked in, trying to look completely casual in my faded t shirt and old sneakers, and asked the imposing security guard at the door if they had a customer charging station. He didn't answer me. Instead, he gave a subtle nod to a salesman wearing a pristine, custom tailored three piece suit who immediately materialized from the back room. The salesman walked straight up to me with an intense, predatory level of customer service. He looked at my old sneakers, smiled warmly, and whispered, Ah, welcome sir. I see you are inspecting our exclusive autumn capsule collection. Let me guess, you are looking for the handcrafted Italian calfskin travel bag? Before I could even open my mouth to say I just needed to charge my dead phone, he swept me into a private back lounge, sat me down on a velvet couch, and handed me a crystal glass of sparkling water on a silver tray. He then laid out a sleek, minimalist black leather backpack on the table like it was a holy relic. He leaned in and said,..

The funniest part of Family Switch wasn’t everyone waking up in the wrong body. It was the dog being caught up in the madness too. 😂 Imagine waking up as your own child, trying to survive a day in someone else’s body, and then realizing even the family dog is somehow part of this chaos. At that point, the whole house has lost control. 😭 But underneath all the comedy, there’s something interesting about this movie. Everyone suddenly has to experience life from another person’s perspective. The parents get a taste of their children’s struggles, while the kids discover that being an adult isn’t as easy as they thought. Sometimes, it takes literally becoming someone else to understand what they’re going through. And somehow, the dog made the whole situation even funnier. 😂

Amara was sexually frustrated. Her husband hadn't been able to get an erection ever since they got married six months ago. She tried everything. Lingerie. Getaways. Giving him space. Nothing worked. Every time they tried, he would turn away and apologize, saying he was just tired. No erection. Just flaccid. Limp Eventually, she started thinking the problem was her. That she just wasn't enough.
