🇬🇧 New NHS Wales documents reveal further concerns that led to the suspension of all gender surgery referrals by the Welsh Gender Service, including unusually high referral rates and inadequate patient assessments.
NHS Wales acknowledges that “many of the safeguards within the assessment process are not being followed in practice.”

The post warned that under the proposed draft Conversion Practices Bill parents could face up to five years in prison for “denying a child or an adult’s transgender identity.” It also asked whether courts could order them to comply if they “objected to a child being ‘transed’ at school or elsewhere.”

“The percentage of Washington teens (male and female combined) with a transgender-related diagnosis in 2022 (1.29 percent) was about 19 times the prevalence of pediatric Type 2 diabetes (0.067 percent), a condition the American Diabetes Association’s journal Diabetes Care characterized in 2023 as “an awakening epidemic.”
NEW: At least 15,437 Washington minors had a transgender-related diagnosis on their insurance claims from 2017 to 2023.
In 2022, that included 1 in 58 teen girls.
