You can’t use hypotheticals in public discourse and debate anymore, because if you explain a view that you do not actually hold, or explore a hypothetical, people are so fucking stupid that they think you must be advocating for that thing. Scary.

Interpretation and peer review occur in Protestantism according to rules of hermeneutics and logic and reason, it’s not just “me and my Bible” and anyone claiming so can be critiqued like everything else.
