Make space for people in meetings you run, but also help make space for people in big meetings!
I've been told my whole life the tone of my voice is hard to miss/ignore, so now I use it to make space for people in meetings 💁♀️😂

Great talk from .@Jemolova on making enough space for all folks in meetings. "If you're comfortable to, call out if you're spoken over" can be even more powerful if someone in a more senior position points it out and demands others to give that person space. #LeadDevLondon
Nice framing by @HumayraHanif on stepping into engineering leadership - it’s about moving from a contributor to a multiplier. #LeadDevLondon
Emoji diagrams are always great 😄 Going from small to large code bases and how fun it is to work with. #LeadDevLondon
Off for a good start at #LeadDevLondon, looking forward to the upcoming talks
Awesome to see results of this multi-year long shot.

Seems really useful if you’re considering to share some kind of data and wondering what type of display is a good fit.

Alright folks, gather round and let me tell you the story of (almost) the biggest engineering disaster I’ve ever had the misfortune of being involved in. It’s a tale of politics, architecture and the sunk cost fallacy [I’m drinking an Aberlour Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch]

Looking back on these five years, there is a LOT we are proud of. A nonprofit certificate authority with 90-day cert lifetimes, totally reliant on donations... five years later, helping to secure over 230M domains.
An interesting read on building leadership inside a team.
This resonates with me, I’ve seen this work well in different forms over the years.
It’s great for personal growth, distributing decision making and much more.

“Cool, let’s build stuff!”
“Are we building this stuff right?”
“Wait, are we building the right stuff?”
“Which other stuff could we build for the long-term?”
“Should we be the ones building the stuff?”
“Is stuff even the right industry to be in?”
