Hearing a lot about "wish lists" for college coaches. It's a little backwards to start there.
Schools have to come up NIL resource package first. That will be basis of most coach's interest. No one leaving a $50M NIL budget for $32M.
Now add in uncertainty of Congressional legislation. Not an easy timeline.
That woman doesn't seem unhinged at all... 🧐
Good work Jennifer. Keep protecting women's sports. This lady would have herself playing against our daughters.

More language from the judge in Alex Steen’s 5 in 5 case.
“No reasonable association, having announced that five seasons are
‘what is best for student-athletes,’ would then exclude the one class of student-athletes that has been most disadvantaged by the prior system….”
I can't wait for 3 years from when @ThaddeusThatch1 is dominating. Took some stones turning down Michigan and UCF for Oregon State- but when you know ball you know ball.

"Excessive blocking" had to be made up by some soccer playing @CHSAA exec who wanted to ruin the sport of football in Colorado.
What a joke

I hopped on FaceTime with @Broncos brilliant D Coordinator, Vance Joseph, immediately following his win vs the Seahawks.
I asked him how they tricked Sam Darnold into throwing the game sealing interception, you gotta hear his answer 🤯

Everyone knows Seahawks are throwing to #11 on 3rd and 5 or less.
Denver keeps singling him
Wow
These whacked evil people going after kids.
The light of the world is the Lord.
And yet, Christians and Christianity under constant attack. A reflection of the world we live in.
And people say it's the athletes ruining college sports. The only driver is money for the NCAA and Universities. Athletes be darned
Wait till you see BILLIONS the new co tract is for (playoffs only)
"They are great dudes. Why ya fightin it? What ya fightin it"?
Unspoken answer: Corporate Greed
Common sense. Usually it wins out. Big money usually the reason it doesn't

Interesting points, and a debate that should occur on each campus in order to make its own individual decisions. A university’s mission may not address running a multi-billion dollar sports industry. It also does not address running commercial dining and retail operations or hotel and conference hospitality or acting as hedge funds. The real question is: are these endeavors AND education mutually exclusive? Clearly, I believe, the answer is “no.”
Mike Tirico says colleges need to decide if they run college sports programs or professional sports teams:
"Should that person [athlete] be... going to classes and getting a degree the same way the students are?"

There's a coach in Colorado who REFUSES to allow his kids highlights to be public. Thinks other teams will gameplan off it.
How much can you kill your players' recruiting?
The thing that remains consistent in portal era (FBS): coaches that can coach will win in year one.
May not win a league title or be perfect. But they will win.
No better then music than @cbs college football. I'm 43. And it reminds me of being 9.
The fact they are lobbying specifically to avoid employee status and collective bargaining tells you everything you need to know. And heaven forbid an employee have a private right of action to sue an employer. What are doing here? And 🤡🤡out here like Dinos Triginis blaming lawyers and not these lobbyists lol
Here's the reality - if you gave them collective bargaining and employee status - it would eliminate 99% of lawsuits. Look at the NFL and NBA.
Eh @WinterSportsLaw?
NEW: The SEC's chief lobbying firm to Greg Sankey on the Protect College Sports Act:
"There is no legislative alternative that gets better for the SEC."
Democrats' asks "begin with employee status, collective bargaining rights, and end with private right of action."
The July 31 internal summary, later forwarded to SEC presidents, also warned: "After the election, because of who is likely to win the House, you won't see this bill ... being considered."
Its last line: "Let's get this done."
