Charles Sorensen's reminiscences of his forty years at FoMoCo is a fascinating listen on Audible. audible.com.au/pd/My-Forty-Y…

The EU will constantly warn everyone about threats to democracy then carry out a coup on a random Friday. It's time Europe confronts the tyrants.

I dunno but this has top memage potential. Internet, crack on with it!
Did this stunt just cost Senator Steph Hodgins May her seat? Words are not violence. Recording a private phone call and sharing it is criminal. Greens Senator Steph Hodgins-May called a Newcastle lawyer who allegedly left a rude comment on her Instagram, recorded the conversation, and posted the video. No consent. She blurred the name, but that does not change the law. NSW Surveillance Devices Act 2007 makes it an offence to record a private conversation you are part of without all-party consent, and a separate offence to publish it. Maximum penalty is 5 years. She is a sitting Senator. If she is convicted and under sentence, or subject to sentence, for an offence punishable by one year or more, section 44 of the Constitution kicks in. Her seat becomes vacant. That would be a casual vacancy. The Victorian Parliament would pick another Greens member to finish the term. We already have laws against real threats and violence. We do not need politicians deciding which speech is allowed while they record people without consent and weaponise it for the cameras. If the behaviour is unacceptable, call it out. Do not break the law to score points. Do you believe a sitting Senator should be above the same recording laws that apply to everyone else?

Gone down a Fiat/Alfa/Stellantis MultiAir rabbit hole - does anyone wish to opine why such interesting and promising technology singularly fails to deliver any meaningful fuel consumption benefit?

Any engineer out there that can't watch this and get really excited about the future should definitely check their pulse. Also, it's occurs to me that unboxed assembly will lend itself to CKD operations around the world. If you win in manufacture with unboxing, you can also win in transport for similar reasons. youtube.com/watch?v=UIrK8oSt…

Correct. Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be. Starshield, a different system, is controlled by the US government. What they decide to do is up to them. Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week. Starlink remains critical to the defense of Ukraine, as it is the only system that cannot be jammed or blown up, at least for now. Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse immediately. This is NOT a threat, it is simply a statement of fact. Starlink was also crucial to preventing Russia from overrunning Ukraine in the early days of the war, as all other means of communication were destroyed or jammed by Russia. SpaceX has done more to defend Ukraine than any private company on Earth BY FAR. That said, I have nothing but UTTER CONTEMPT for the virtue-signaling evil warmongers who push for endless slaughter and offer no realistic solution to the conflict. May you burn in hell. End of story.
STARLINK WORKS THE SAME WAY ITS ALWAYS WORKED. ITS NOT A WEAPONS SYSTEM, NO MATTER HOW MUCH UKRAINE WANTS IT TO BE.
