Loaded Glock, Fentanyl and Meth Seized in Mississauga Traffic Stop; Two Charged Two people, including a 17-year-old out on bail, are facing numerous charges after Peel Regional Police seized a loaded handgun, suspected fentanyl and other drugs during a vehicle investigation in Mississauga. Police said officers with the 11 Division Community Incident Response Team (CIRT) initiated an investigation involving a vehicle near Maritz Drive and Derry Road West at approximately 5 p.m. on Monday, October 5, over an alleged violation of the Cannabis Control Act. During the investigation, officers located suspected drugs inside the vehicle. Following the arrests, a search of the vehicle led to the seizure of a loaded 9mm Glock handgun equipped with a prohibited 15-round magazine. Police also seized more than 79 grams of suspected drugs, including fentanyl, heroin, crack cocaine and crystal methamphetamine, along with $1,260 in Canadian currency. The suspects were identified as Ibrahim Abdul Hasan, 21, of Toronto, and a 17-year-old whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. They are both charged with: -Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition -Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm -Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized -Careless Storage of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition -Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose -Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle -Possession of a Prohibited Device -Carrying a Concealed Weapon -Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking X4 The Young Person was additionally charged with: -Possession Contrary to Order X5 -Failure to Comply with Order X3 -Failure to Comply with Sentence or Disposition -Having Care or Control of a Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available
