Gingerbread by Helen Oyeyemi is $1.99. This has been on my TBR for a few years. It's a story inspired by Hansel and Gretel but set in the modern world, with imaginative twists and turns. It sounds like an engrossing, fascinating #magicalrealism read. amz.run/3UUn

Finished another big project at work this week, so naturally, I bought books. (Also, buying books is a great way to console yourself when you are 2 weeks away from leaving your home and not seeing your husband for 2-4 months)

Listening to @jameelajamil's episode with Deborah Messing was so heartbreaking. When I was growing up all I wanted was to look like Deborah when she was a size 2. It was my 'ideal body', which alone is a disordered concept. 1/
