Alex Pretti's father: Our son was shot and killed by the government, federal immigration agents, on January 24th, 2026. We learned about his death from the media as we saw him being shot repeatedly in the back after helping a woman from his community. This was not a protest that Alex was at. His hands were in the air, and his face was on the ground when he was executed by ICE agents. We know exactly what our eyes saw. No one from the federal government called us on that day. Her politics were beautifully simple: robust border walls, uncompromising immigration enforcement, and absolute faith that the MAGA machine would strictly target "the worst of the worst" while bypassing her comfortable American life.
That blind faith shattered on August 11 at Newark Liberty International Airport when ICE agents intercepted her Moroccan-born husband, Abdellatif, as the couple tried to board a flight for a Florida vacation. It turns out the federal immigration apparatus doesn't pause to check your spouse's voting record before enforcing an in absentia deportation order left behind by a fraudulent lawyer who was federally sentenced back in 2013 for scamming clients.
The exact system Sandra cheered on treated her husband precisely like the people she voted to expel. He was shipped across facilities from New Jersey to Arizona, subjected to sleep deprivation, and thrown into solitary confinement for 10 days for refusing a forced flight, leaving Sandra to scramble for a $15,000 bond until his eventual release on November 26 after 108 days of state-sponsored trauma.
The staggering hypocrisy is a masterclass in political myopia. Sandra openly admitted she supported these brutal policies under the assumption they would only happen to other families, only discovering the cruelty of the system once it directly ruined her life and drained her bank account.

NEW: A two-time Jeopardy champion in North Carolina has been arrested again less than three months after a judge spared him prison time and put him on probation.
Now a judge has denied his bond and locked him in the Wake County Jail.
According to an arrest warrant obtained by WBTV, 44-year-old Philip Joseph "Joey" DeSena of Raleigh was arrested on Friday and charged with 10 felony counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor.
Investigators allege the development engineer duplicated unlawful explicit images and videos involving minors between the ages of 7 and 15.
The arrest comes less than a year after DeSena turned himself in on December 1, 2025, on two felony counts of secret peeping in Currituck County.
In that earlier case, deputies said he hid cameras inside a bedroom and a bathroom at a rental house in Corolla "with the intent to capture the image of another without their consent."
Instead of prison time, a judge allowed DeSena to plead guilty on July 27 to five years of probation, 100 hours of community service, and a mental health evaluation.
Under that plea deal, the judge did not even require him to register as a sex offender.
Just months earlier, DeSena won two straight nights on Jeopardy in November 2024 to take home $44,698 before returning for the Champions Wildcard semifinals in January 2025.
"It was a literal dream come true," DeSena said at the time while praising the show's crew and his fellow contestants.
When someone pleads guilty to hiding cameras in a bedroom and bathroom, should a judge ever be allowed to hand them probation without sex-offender registration?

Andre Stafford, a Republican state house candidate in Atlanta who has done volunteer work for the Senate campaign of Rep. Mike Collins, has been arrested on child molestation charges, for allegedly exposing himself to a young girl at a bus stop in Cobb County.
The Collins campaign has already denounced him, saying he should go to prison if the charges are proven in court.

During the January 6th attack on the nation's Capitol, Daniel Rodriguez drove a stun gun into the neck of Officer Mike Fanone. He was knocked unconscious, had a heart attack and suffered a traumatic brain injury. It ended his career.
Rodriguez got over 12 years in prison for his assault on police. On day one, Donald Trump gave him a "full, complete and unconditional pardon" and sent him home.
This is far and away the most corrupt White House in American history.
