What a finale. That small moment with Robert scratching the lottery card set up Yas' trajectory brilliantly. So many great moments - the creators took a big swing & it's a comprehensive and ambitious finale to one of the finest seasons of television
Ken Leung's dramatic turn when Harper tells him to look at her, that's a movie star right there. Myha'la is terrifying as Harper, one of the best written TV characters in a long time.
all this to say I can't wait for the new episode of #IndustryHBO

Boy Meets World really played in our face having Topanga turn down Yale for Cory. Yale??? For CORY?!?!
Now if we’re talking Shawn, I would’ve followed him to DeVry.

It was the ghastly murder of poor Emmett Till that prompted Rod Serling to try and dramatize his story in a teleplay called "Noon on Doomsday." When the censors eviscerated his work, it set Rod on a path to creating The Twilight Zone where he could make his points allegorically.
69 years ago today Emmett Till was tortured and brutally murdered.
Eyes gouged out. Shot in the head. 75lb cotton gin fan around his neck with barbed wire. So disfigured he could only be identified by a ring.
Emmett was 14 when he was kidnapped tortured and murdered.
When Emmitt was finally found he had a bullet hole in the head, one of his eyes was gouged out and he had other wounds. The savage racist animals wrapped barbed wire around his neck and weighted him down with a cotton gin fan. After they were finished with Emmett’s lifeless body he was thrown into the River.
All because a Black child was accused of offending a white woman in her family's store (a few years ago the woman admitted she lied).
Mamie Till was confronted with a horrific tragedy and decided to have an open casket which helped set off a movement.
Joe Biden designated a monument honoring Emmett and Mamie Till. This is all of our history. If you can read this story and feel anything but empathy and a need to change the world please unfollow me. Trolls beware I will drag you on this one.
