We LOVE a living wage, and boy do we deserve a raise... but the devil is in the details. The ONLY way to ensure workers get a fair deal is to have a seat at the table. Read our full Statement here:

Covid cases are (and have been) surging. Yet Apple is reducing protections in retail stores, and all across the supply chain. Plus Apple is requiring remote workers to come back to the office. This is a worker health and safety issue, and it’s a part of #WhyWeOrganize #AppleToo
Solidarity with land defenders and everyone fighting for justice. We fight so that we may have a future #RBCiskillingme #coastalgaslink off the Yintah
So @RBC has invested A LOT in fossil fuels:
🛢️US$30,000,000,000 in 2016
🛢️US$39,000,000,000 in 2017
🛢️US$39,000,000,000 in 2018
🛢️US$36,000,000,000 in 2019
🛢️US$19,000,000,000 in 2020(Covid)
🛢️US$39,000,000,000 in 2021
and no sign of stopping!

When a big employer tells you that "culture matters more than salary," they're trying to trick you.

There are 🚫 limits for union busters. They seek to Divide to make us hate or feel alone. They Delay hoping we’ll go away. They seek to Distract while picking our pockets. They put each of these together in hopes we will feel demoralized and give up our voice before we can speak.
We believe teaching the truth about workers struggle against their employers is an honest way of looking at the past to better understand the present.
We believe that, by focusing on a more honest look at the past, we'll better understand the present and be equipped with ways to improve the future. It's time we teach truth.

Hey Lushies! In preparation the compensation review in North America we are going to be sharing the Living Wage (along with resources) for a number of cities/regions over the next week.
We might not get through all of them, but we will do our best to cover as much as we can.
First up Lush's Distribution and Manufacturing locations:
Toronto Living Wage: $22.08/hr
Vancouver Living Wage: $20.52/hr
How many of us are close to that?
resources:
1)ontariolivingwage.ca/living_…
2)livingwageforfamilies.ca/liv…
#LivingWage #Capitalism
Second up we have a few cities:
Pittsburg Living Wage 0 kids 1 adult: $12.88
Miami/Dade Living Wage 0 kids 1 adult: $16.08
Resources:
1)livingwage.mit.edu/counties/…
2)livingwage.mit.edu/counties/…
Despite having some minimum wage increases, its not enough.
