I have been holding back on this for a long while, trying to get "perfection", what I have learnt however to be careful not to confuse excellence with perfection. So here is the story of Acctally

I remember his story in the then Calabar Slave Museum, very interesting
This is the story of how Prof. Catherine Acholonu was able to trace the family of Olaudah Equiano all the way to Iseke in Anambra State. It’s a story that will take you back almost 300 years ago when a young Igbo boy was snatched from his ancestral roots and sold into slavery. But Olaudah self-educated himself, and wrote a book that remains a bestseller to this day, helping scholars to understand the true human tragedy of slavery.

Seed Stage, Episode 6: NEPA Took Light 💡 Klaus is ready to invest in a Nigerian startup. There's one condition: show him the Black Friday numbers first. That night the power goes. Then the generator dies. Tunde's last message to Luca never says "saved". By morning, Klaus sees 412 Paystack payments and ₦12 million in sales, every one recorded. So tell us honestly 👇 If you were Klaus, would you sign the cheque on those numbers? And founders: if an investor asked tonight, could you show your numbers by morning? Your books keep working when the lights don't. #SeedStage #Acctally #Paystack #NigerianStartups #Lagos #NEPA #Investors #FounderLife

Where’s the repo?
We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence. block.xyz/dessa

This could be anyone, don’t miss the taxes folks
Wesley Snipes spent 3 years in federal prison for failing to file taxes. The day he walked out, the IRS hit him with a $23.5 million bill. He offered them $842,000. The IRS rejected it and demanded $9.5M cash. Today? He never settled it. The Tax Court backed the IRS, rejected his offer, and slapped liens across his future earnings, swallowing checks from Coming 2 America, True Story with Kevin Hart, and his massive Deadpool & Wolverine return. Death and taxes. A prime example.

I randomly remembered @mhadaily's book the other day. It was 2024: life was good, @FlutterDev was up 😊, AI was just a web chat, agents barely knew Dart or Flutter, and we were all hoping AI wouldn't get "this good" and take our jobs. The book landed right at the end of that era. Enough time has passed that it got me thinking: are people still buying books to learn software engineering? Let alone Flutter engineering? Recently a friend of mine wanted to move into software engineering. I learned from books myself, so I wrote him a handbook as a PDF (free download below). In a few months some of the tooling in it may be obsolete. Still, I'm glad I did it: he's already learning from it, and the knowledge got passed on. Questions for @mhadaily: How do you feel about how fast things have changed since the book came out? Any regrets about the timing? Free handbook: drive.google.com/file/d/1jv-…
