IA 1.3 - Last week, Year 2 CE/NB had a fantastic time at the launch of their exciting new topic, Coastlines! 🌊☀️

IA 1.3- Year 2 CE/NB had an amazing time pond dipping at Cyfarthfa Park this week! 🌿🐸 As part of their ‘Coastlines’ topic, our curious learners are exploring the differences between freshwater habitats and the ocean. Ardderchog, Year 2👏✨

IA 1.3- Nursery SJ 🌈 Have had lots of fun this week exploring our outdoor areas and staying active. The children enjoyed taking turns on the bikes 🚲 and giving our outdoor tricky trail a go. Da Iawn pawb!! ☀️ 🌈 ❤️

IA1.2 - Last week, Year 2 CE/NB had a lovely time taking part in a special session with Bethan, our visiting Welsh harpist. The children really enjoyed listening to her play and did a fantastic job clapping along and keeping a steady beat. 👏 🎶

IA 1.3 - 🐣Hwyl y Pasg🐣 The Children in Nursery SJ have been doing some really fun jobs. 🤩🥳 Last week, they got to hold the new baby chicks. 🐥🐣 It was so lovely to see how careful and gentle they all were with them. 🥰

IA 1.3- What a fantastic day Year 2 CE/NB had on their trip to Cardiff Castle! 🏰✨ The children had a wonderful time exploring the castle grounds and discovering the rich history of this remarkable landmark. proud of how well they conducted themselves. 🌟 Da iawn pawb!👏

Dathlu llwyddiant – Celebrating 🙌 success 🙏🏽🤩 We’ve had a busy few weeks - between the Eisteddfod, World Book Day and plus our first transition visit to Pen-y-Dre - we really haven’t stopped ! We have really excelled ourselves in many ways as you can see .

Year 4 has been focusing on the importance of teamwork in sports. This week, the children focused on USA sports and compared them to the UK. Some amazing teamwork involved and fantastic research. Bendigedig.

IA1.2 - Last week, Year 2 CE/NB had a fantastic time celebrating all things Welsh in the lead-up to the Eisteddfod 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿! They sang Welsh songs with so much energy and pride 🎤 . The children also performed a lively Welsh Folk Dance, showing off their rhythm and enthusiasm.

The children have been working hard this week for the preparation of the Eisteddfod. Fantastic effort from all. Ardderchog plant! 🙂

Our Year 2 pupils had a wonderful time taking part in our school Eisteddfod on Friday. They sang Welsh songs with enthusiasm, performed their recitations with growing confidence, and showcased their brilliant folk dancing skills. It was a joy to watch their talents shine.Da iawn

Digwyddiadau’r wythnos – This week’s events.. A huge llongfyrchiadau ( congrats ) to all our our Eisteddfod participants. The way you sang and performed was simply brilliant . Huge congratulations to Scarlett Brown and Troy Powell for winning the bard’s chair.

IA 1.1 - Shwmae! Children in nursery class SJ are having lots of fun learning all about Wales🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 for Welsh week. The children decorated the Welsh flags. Watched some videos all about St David’s Day and why we celebrate it. Da iawn pawb 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🌼🏉 🐑

Before half term we learnt how to be safe online through internet safety week . We created information posters to explain to children some of the dangers online and how we can stay safe ! Diolch yn fawr am eich cefnogaeth – Thank you very much for your support.

✨ Llawer o hwyl! ✨ Children in LRB1 (K Small) had lots of fun during the last week of term. Children listened very carefully to some E-Safety and took part in some relaxation and RPB wellbeing activities. There were lots of smiles and dances for our daily song time

We are aiming to achieve our Siarter Iaith award in Welsh by next month. We have been working very hard towards this and our Criw Cymraeg form years 2,4 and 6 have been great at leading us - along with Mrs Jenkins who is our parent helper in Welsh . 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Newyddion yr wythnos … this week’s news ; 6RB So last week we welcomed in some medical students who talked to the children about going to university and also about pursuing careers in the medical field . They learnt a lot about the human body and had great fun too.
