After leaving Cragmaw Cave, the team went to the Redbrand Hideout. Now, Grubby the Walrus was in love with Therei, the Tiefling Pirate Warlock, and was a little...forward with his proclamations of love. So Therei slapped him and rolled for damage. Grubby, shocked, ran and hid.
There wasn't even a fight. Needless to say...the prisoner was a little...confused. And terrified. But mostly confused. This plays in shortly. Upon returning to town, a small mob formed, convinced that Grubby was a monster and that the guys were also bandits. Which is reasonable.
I'm not going to talk about what happened in detail, but it ended with one PC dead from intra-party fighting, half of the town burned down, and Grubby losing his favorite hat. #talesofgrubby #goodtimesroll #dnd

Grubby was the single most chaotic character I have ever had the pleasure to witness and was played by a man whom I saw one rip apart a beer can with his bare teeth. The level of chaotic energy stored in him was truly terrifying. #chaoticneutral
In Cragmaw Cave, Grubby did not land a single hit during the final fight, but rolled a 19 & 20 on medicine and dexterity to skin the bug bear. He did not wash it before putting it on. Later, villagers thought he was a monster and it may have caused a minor riot. #LMoP
