With inordinate influence over the genre, he has made his views on Israel/Palestine clear, and has used his influence to stamp out what he sees as anti-semitism in the industry.
He is now head of YouTube Music, and is working with the U.S. State Department on a new program directly modeled on the CIA’s successful Cold War-era attempts to use American artists to help force through color revolutions in targeted countries.

Never forget this video of Lyor justifying his exploitation of black violence and drug addiction as “having a family to feed too”. He has killed the career of anybody who showed any sympathy for Palestinians. The music industry is filled with leeches like this who exploited black suffering to make 9-10 figures. As the head of global music at Youtube, he is the filter for what gets pushed onto playlists and what should go to die.
