The last paper of my PhD is now online!
Grace's "Oxidative instability of ionomers in hydroxide-exchange-membrane water electrolyzers" - now published in Energy & Environmental Science pubs.rsc.org/en/content/arti…
Wrapped up in one big bang this morning! @OregonEChem took over most morning sessions with Kira in ion transport, @MeikunShen and @AaronKaufman123 in photocatalysis, me and Liam in alkaline water oxidation, and Minkyoung in AEM development!
Catch team @BoettcherLab and @OregonEChem at ECS in Boston this week! Kicked off with @eth_ch giving a poster on BPM water dissociation

Thanks to a prestigious @NSF Faculty Early Career Development Program Award, @uoregon @uocas Assist. Prof. of Chemistry Amanda Cook and her team are developing new catalysts that speed up chemical reactions. Read more at bit.ly/3YJFWTZ #FundScience
The past 6 Saturday’s I’ve helped organize Girl’s Science Adventures through @uowgs with the @EugeneSciCntr. We hosted 20 middle schoolers for experiments on campus each weekend at no cost to students thanks to WGS funding! Wouldn’t be possible without partners like @uoadse!
Students from @EugeneSciCntr joined @uoadse & @uowgs this weekend to learn the Central Dogma! Lots of excitement as we extracted DNA from cheek cells and strawberries🍓! Thanks to @uowgs for funding and to Malvika for prepping modules and leading our group of amazing volunteers!

Even the statement, “Let’s invite more Black people to the table,” implies ownership of the table and control of who is invited.

If you’re going to quote & authentically honor my father on #MLKDay, commit to embracing a ‘World House’ perspective.
Determine how you’ll disrupt unjust systems & thinking with nonviolent strategy.
Support policies that reflect higher consciousness.
Make no excuses for hate.

As you commemorate #MLKDay, please remember my mother, as well. She was the architect of the King Legacy and founder of @TheKingCenter, which she founded less than three months after Daddy was assassinated. Without #CorettaScottKing, there would be no MLK Day.
