We need something legal in place to be able to call for a new election if a party goes back on all its mandate promised. How is ANY political party allowed to lie their way into parliament? It would make mandates & promises more legally binding. So we know what we are voting for & at least can do something if thatโs the case. Starmer listen to your people, fight for Britain not the WEF

This is one of the consequences of the โtrophies-for-everyoneโ upbringing of the early 21st century.
Basically, children were shielded from processing emotionally challenging experiences. My theory is that their parents were the first generation that en masse went to therapy, and learned that much of their negative feelings about themselves were due to how their parents treated them. Most of these parents did the work and recovered from that experience. However, they also vowed to ensure that their own children would not be on a couch in 20 years, having to recover from these parents themselves.
And so, these parents bubble-wrapped their kidsโ feelings. They didnโt want them to experience defeat (hence trophies for everyone, and not just the winners). They eliminated the experience of a kid not being a guest and not the focus at a birthday party (by making sure the departing gift bags everyone got were full of items of greater value than the present they themselves brought). They eliminated the experience of the kids working out conflicts themselves (by the teachers at the schools insisting that the kids come to them immediately when a conflict with another kid arose). They eliminated the kid experiencing the poor results of not having done the class assignments (by parents calling teachers on the kidsโ behalf to get a better grade (including college, btw)).
All to say, this was child abuse. These parents handicapped these kids by not letting them process defeat, disappointment, being left out, frustration, etc as children, so they could build those coping skills. And so, now you have a whole batch of adults processing all that for the very first time, with no practice, and no muscles in those areas. Truly handicapped.
Hopefully, these now-adults will learn these lessons on their own, but that takes guts. Now you know why this batch of kids created the Victim Olympics for their present-day adult selves.

We publish again and state the following to be true: Skye is a man. Skye is a dangerous man. Skye has no business being anywhere near womenโs privacy. If Skye approached a woman in our presence with the intention of doing a search, we would arrest Skye for assault.

Nothing about this feels good, because John Oliver generously gave his time for my charity Lumos and I liked him very much when I met him, but God knows, if you ever need an example of motivated reasoning and confirmation bias, this video's for you. An undoubtedly intelligent person spouts absolute bullshit to support something he wants to be true, but isn't.
According to the UN, female athletes have lost nearly 900 medals to trans-identified men competing against them in womenโs sporting categories. Girls have been ousted from teams to make way for boys. Women have suffered serious injury playing against trans-identified men (see Payton McNabb, mentioned below).
Again and again I've come up against men who argue exactly what Oliver does here, using the very same talking points. With a straight face, the 'believe the science' guys will say 'actually, we don't yet have enough data to say whether men and boys are stronger and faster than women and girls'. The 'be kind' crew can't see what the issue is. 'Why are you bothered, it only affects a tiny minority of females?'
To prove to their progressive credentials - and (coincidentally, I'm sure) indemnify themselves against repercussions from cultural elites in the media, academia and publishing who've showed themselves more than ready to kick people to the kerb for failing to mouth the approved mantras - people with a lot to lose are currently prepared to make idiots of themselves. They'll stare unabashedly into a camera and insist that their audiences' eyeballs are incapable of seeing what's plain as day, and that there's something wrong with the great unwashed for believing that girls are being robbed of opportunities and put at physical risk.
If you want to tell the world you're happy to watch females suffer injury, humiliation and the loss of sporting opportunities to bolster an elitist post-modern ideology embraced by a minute fraction of the world's population, fair enough; you're allowed your opinion. But if you've just told girls they don't deserve fair sport, maybe rethink using all too real and common sexual predation against young women as a punchline for your 'edgy' closing joke.

Two weeks have passed since Ahoo Dariyaeiโs forced detention and transfer to a psychiatric hospital. Her family continues to face immense pressure. This injustice is not only a violation of human rights but also a clear example of the brutality of a regime that thrives on suppression and fear.
A friend of her sent me photos of Ahoo and told me that her life is in danger.
In Iran, a student harassed by her universityโs morality police over her โimproperโ hijab didnโt back down. She turned her body into a protest, stripping to her underwear and marching through campusโdefying a regime that constantly controls womenโs bodies. Her act is a powerful reminder of Iranian womenโs fight for freedom. Yes we use our bodies like weapons to fight back a regime that kills women for showing their hair.
This happened at Tehranโs Science and Research University She has since been arrested by the authorities.

Until X was bought by @elonmusk we were not allowed to point out all the males cheating in sport, stealing opportunities away from women & girls. Even using peer reviewed science. Free speech was & still is being suppressed by political parties & very disappointingly MSM. Itโs vital for democracy. As we saw was evident in the USA last week, people have had enough. Kamala Harris outspent Trump $3 to $1. Including paying super rich Hollywood superstars millions to endorse her. Paying them to me seems immoral. It didnโt work. If you canโt take the sunlight those on the left, you obviously are deciding to just leave the kitchen (or X), weak lazy newspapers included. Very cowardly. Good riddance, typical bullying behaviour is, throwing oneself on the floor screaming because others wonโt see it your way! Not how democracy works, win people over with your compelling argument. This behaviour is being called out, at last ๐๐ป thank goodness.
