Been a while. Pandemic got in the way and suddenly waiting rooms became unusable. Now they are back and the conversation is all about well-being. So can we get this campaign restarted. And commit to making a #GreatPlace2Wait Not this ⬇️ #waitingroom

I've unfortunately spent 12 hours today in an A&E corridor with my mum, thankfully all OK & we'll be out of here soon. But @RishiSunak the conditions we witnessed today are utterly unacceptable. The picture shows the corridor lined with chairs and dotted around are these hooks...

🌳🍃🌿🍂 We’ve got a lovely new mural in our reception area from artist @MalcolmWillett which represent the wellbeing and mental support available here at GOSH. Take a look next time you visit and watch out for our launch party later this year!

Definitely not a #GrestPlace2Wait So sorry to hear this tale.
28 hours later. Terminal blood cancer. Prone to bone fractures. Infection in sinuses eroding bones in skull & spreading aggressively. No bed, not even a trolley. Heroric Nurses and Drs literally running from patient to patient. Our NHS isn’t at risk. It’s broken beyond repair.

Dispensary waiting rooms are a liminal space
Another ugly space Not a #greatplace2wait
This morning's hospital visit is for our son. He's been undergoing tests. But that's not the story here. Women in the waiting room are complaining that it's too cold in here, but they're refusing the heated blankets being offered to them. Some people just like kvetching.
This is hideous. Not a #greatplace2wait
Not many people in the hospital waiting room this morning

So this happened - we went from a mismatch of chairs in @BHR_hospitals Team 1 OPD waiting room to new padded ‘bright’ sturdy chairs. My question to our patients - Are they comfortable?
Yup! Not a #greatplace2wait

We were delighted to donate this selection of books to the Paediatric A&E waiting room this morning. We hope they will help the time to pass more quickly for our younger patients!
