Sydney Aus: s10 stairs and 10 elevators, 2 courtyards. "Single Stair" projects usually have more stairs, and more elevators.... but fewer awful hallways. Now if Canada could just get on the non-USA elevator bandwagon...

Call it the 'BC Special'. 15 "Family Size" Single-Stair Accessible Flats. These could be built in most BC cities and modularized (if scalable zoning was created). Land trust ownership for non-market housing / co-op. Dedicated cargo bike parking. Shared yard & roof deck.

Vancouver Co-Housing. 30 units and large common spaces and courtyard. Roughly the same density as multiplex (1.1 FSR). Approved in 2013 and finished in 2016 they had to battle for years to get permission to build. In 2026 this should be easy to build anywhere in R1-1.

Throwback to the time we relocated a big tree to this lane house site (behind a character home in Mt. Pleasant). I’m thinking it would be great to have a matchmaking service to find new homes for trees on development sites - so they could be relocated vs being cut down.
