I went to more than one Canadian media outlet who confirmed this is real. Per @BobRae48 on this platform: “Wake up Canada ! Posted by the POTUS of America. Throw your complacency out the window. This administration’s plan is the obliteration of our country”.
What you fail to understand Mr Hoekstra, (you beautiful incarnation of the overall narcissism of the current US administration you!) is that Canadians WERE passionate about the US/Canada relationship. The current administration has beaten it out of us.

No matter what happens, it saddens me deeply that rape, felonies, trying to overthrow our democracy, misogyny, racism and transphobia are somehow not deal breaks for 10’s of millions of Americans.
@lufthansa travelling with you for the first time this weekend and I’d be lying if I said you were making anything close to a good first impression. Multiple delays, multiple gate changes. I wasn’t expecting to walk as much of Munich Airport as I did the first week of vacay.
Onboard service was admittedly disappointing as well. Tiny bottles of water the sole cost free refreshment offered. And the environmental impact there is troubling. Not even a Coke? @lufthansa @Lufthansa_USA there is room for improvement here.
This is of absolutely no surprise to me at all.
