Read the 11 collections side by side and a larger conversation begins to emerge.
Across the longlist, poets return to themes on home, memory, love, loss, patriotism, spirituality and survival.
But they do not treat these themes as abstract ideas. They show how they live in bodies, families, streets, histories and everyday choices.
Swipe through seven patterns we noticed.
Which one draws you in?

I was in the news just yesterday. @ctvwinnipeg had this to say about my project with all the Little Free Libraries in Winnipeg. It has recently become my intention to have all @griotslounge children’s books in all little free libraries in public grade schools in Winnipeg.
