Important study by #AnneNolan & #EmerSmyth on an understudied topic drawing on @GrowingUpIre study. Porn use is associated with wellbeing and sexual behaviour. Lower use of condoms has implications for policy. The authors recommend renewed public health messaging needed.
64% of 20-year-old men in Ireland use online pornography, according to our latest research.
This is compared to 13% among young women.
Those using online pornography are significantly less likely to use condoms regularly.
