🌧🌧 Unsurprisingly, volunteers were thin on the ground in Bluebell Wood on Saturday with people focussing on clearing storm damage at home or staying out of the rain. Nevertheless, the determined volunteers managed to get a few thousand Stinking Onion bulbs out of the ground.💙

💙That's another 20,000 (approx) Stinking Onion bulbs out of the ground in Bluebell Wood!😁 Bluebell Wood was very sheltered from the blustery conditions on Wednesday morning and with the sun shining it was such a wonderful place to be. 🌞🌳 #BluebellWood #invasivespeciesremoval

Not a lot of hay to rake on Saturday morning due to the hot, dry summer so that gave us time to cut Brambles, Blackthorn and Bracken at the @NTGuernsey site on L'Eree Headland. Great work everyone!😀 #lovenature #teamwork

A great Wednesday morning Bracken pulling in La Société Guernesiaise orchid fields at Rue Rocheuse. Removing the new Bracken that has grown since these meadows were cut is a really important job to stop the Bracken dominating areas of these very special meadows. #meadows

😁 BIG TEAM = BIG DIFFERENCE💪 GCV cut new shoots of Gorse on the heathland near the Pilcher Monument in Sark on Saturday & also cut back some larger Gorse. Cutting Gorse allows the Bell Heather to grow and flourish in an area where the Silver-studded Blue Butterflies live.
