Once upon a time I was a young child who foolishly picked out cooked vegetables from meals, I especially disliked green beans and found them incredibly difficult to even taste yet alone ingest eventually I left my foolish ways behind, now I even eat them raw πββοΈ.
I used to be like this, I hated onions. I couldn't stand them, I'd pick them from my dish with metronomic accuracy.
Then I traveled, and the family i visited used a lot of onions in their meals. Shame said: "you? I'll embarrass you today, try me." Having being praised for saying "anything you give me ma, I'll eat it oh." Now I had an opportunity to put my money where my mouth was, or felicitously, where my food was..
So, i ate the food, with all the onions. It helped that the white onions tasted sweeter than what I was used to.
When I got home, my mum noticed I didn't worry about onions again, and she asked what they did to her son.
Since then, I've loved onions in all its forms.

1. This interview was published on the 14th of March 2015, about 2 weeks before the general election that brought Buhari to power.
2. Goodluck Jonathan was still President, and Peter Obi spent essentially the entire interview defending his government and urging Nigerians to reject Buhari and the APC. The idea that he was sucking up to Buhari for his personal benefit, or somehow seeking a path into the APC, is plainly false, as I am sure you know.
3. The video you posted cleverly cuts a longer segment where he actually criticizes the APC and casts doubt on Buhariβs ability to tackle corruption if he takes over from Jonathan.

Nothing of benefit to the general public I'd say that much
The people are quite stupid
You people defended the removal of fuel subsidy and swore it was needed for an economic turn around, now we're just suffering for it.
Next they're flirting with the idea of removing subsidy on electricity fully and education, and you people are getting behind them.
Do you not learn? What is your problem?

In a country where politicians advise her citizens to fry akara for a living?
Minimum wage is pegged at a ridiculous β¦70,000.
Where 40 million people have been added to the pre-existing 80 million Nigerians who are already living in multi-dimensional poverty.
This is not just cruel, it is out of touch at best, and at the least, it's an arm chair philosophy.
They must face scrutiny and if they yet falter under the weight of examination then so shall it be that they were not worth their salt but if they stand firm then praise is in order for they would be worth the precious breath they were uttered with.
