If the Game Awards want to be taken seriously, Expedition 33 has to win GOTY. It didn’t just take players by storm—devs are praising it nonstop. Whether you like it or not, just like BG3 did, Expedition 33 proved you can make something incredible when the people behind it actually love what they’re making.
It’s a wake-up call: games made with passion will always outshine games made out of greed.
Hollow Knight’s developers say they expect Silksong to lose out at The Game Awards.
"Expedition 33 [is] exceptional and broadly palatable. Whereas we’re on that knife’s edge, where it appeals to some and infuriates others.”
