This shall be my new pinned post!
Listen to me read a short excerpt from my novel Just One Night - a chick lit/romcom π
Fyi, itβs pg-13 (for language, not sex) so you can gift it to your mom, 16 year old daughter & parish priest. I aim to please.
This is my teeny tiny cat, Claudette. I have had her for nearly twenty years. Got her at 3 weeks old. Bottle fed her. Taught her how to poop and pee with a warm, wet cotton ball. Cared for her lo all of these years. Rushed her to feline retina specialist a few weeks ago because of sudden blindnessβ¦. And this TRAITOR snuggles up to @jdclarknovelist any chance she gets!!!!
Watch us talk about The Speed of Film, @jdclarknovelistβs latest novel, available for preorder now (e-book) and paperback/e-book on 11/24 ππποΈποΈπΌπΌπ£οΈπ£οΈ - Jourdan will link in replies ππ
Anyone successfully wean off of Amazon? Not the KDP side - the buying random shit all day long side.
Itβs hard to have self-esteem when you grew up in the 80s & 90s and were told your cellulite was a personality defect.
Someone told me to go on xanax bc I donβt like the phonetic military alphabet, so now blocked him. Whoβs next? My tolerance for twitter assholes is at an all time low.
For some reason this drives me into a rage:
When someone (usually at work) is dictating a word, or ID number to me, that contains letters and instead of saying "P 5 T 4 4 F L" they say Peter 4 Thomas 4 4 Frank Larry." I HATE this.
If they say, "P as in Peter, T as in Thomas..." this is slightly more acceptable.
Wow. This weirdo blocked be because I politely disagreed with a Steven Kng quote? How stable and sane.
@uponkinneroad @SmashedEars I canβt reply to either of you because apparently my reply offended that gal enough to block me. Sheβs a notorious review bomber so I suppose thatβs headed my way now.
First poem in forever! Please read?
Song
To find the
dark, that
blue-black,
was the thing
binding days;
to learn it;
and when
hands touched
the lazy suns how far
far
far it all was.
To find it in these late days.
It was never lazy.
I think I knew that when
I walked with the stroller,
clinging to a song
because I thought
it made me whole and
fancy and
a woman worthy of eyes.
I wanted to be
the woman you
come upon on the
shelf,
perfect and
unveiled and unbroken,
plain and fine and
static.
