If you watch Rocky, you might as well watch 2 and 3 for the full arc. If you watch those you may as well watch 4 to see Apollo’s story. If you watch that you may as well finish it out with 5 and 6. If you watch those you may as well watch Creed 1 and 2.

I truly don't understand this thinking. The 1980s have some of the most exciting movies I've ever seen. Honestly, every decade of film has something interesting about it!

Nowhere is cultural acceleration more evident than in the movies. As Andrej Karpathy says, movies from before 1995 are slow, boring and naive.

I don't know which specific episodes they campaigned with, but she and Matthew Macfadyen won their awards on S4E7 (Tailgate Party) in my eyes. It's like taking the best scene of a stage play between two incredible actors and filming it as a TV show. Phenomenal stuff.

Yesterday, I was laid off by @TexasTribune after nearly 9 years. New leadership got rid of its longest-tenured reporters and said they’ll no longer cover the criminal justice beat. No one on police, prisons, courts, the death penalty. In Texas. Here’s some of what we’ll lose:
